SOURCE: could you tell me what is the colour of illumination

fdc00eb.jpg
This unit has a multi- colored display that you can load your own custom backgrounds in the following formats:

jpl: for large size still images

jpm: for small size still images

jpa: for large size animations

jpb: for small size animations

jpw: for ImageLink

You can display two sizes of pictures and
animations .

– Large: <jpl> for the still pictures and <jpa>
for the animations;
The image can be shown as the display
background.

– Small: <jpm> for the still pictures and
<jpb> for the animations;
The image is displayed like a CD jacket (in
the same proportion of CD jacket).

The buttons light up Blue and are not changeable.

SOURCE: how do i change illumination

CLICK HERE for your owners manual in PDF format.

This is not a selectable menu option built in the radio. You may take it to a repair shop and they can change the lights inside the face if you choose to have another color.

I want to wire the kd-s640 to my boat. I need to know what wire by color (except black ground) goes where. Thanks. dave.dunklee@gmail.com

Usually it's....

black = ground
red = switched battery power
yellow = constant batery power (for clock...etc)
orange = illumination
blue = amplifier turn on or accessory (electric antenna, amps etc)

green/white/purple/grey are speaker wires.

Cd stero wiring help

Hi,

To my knowledge, the illumination wire need not be connected to the JVC KD-G230. Further, other than the 8 speaker wires, the JVC has only:
  • black - body ground;
  • yellow - always on B+12
  • red - ACC/IGN B+12
  • blue w/ white stripe - external amp trigger and/or power antenna
Perhaps this might be of further help to you.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
