Hi,
Perhaps you could furnish me with the 12 errors you are experiencing, also possibly some references from Dell. I feel you have been treated unfairly here? but would ask please to be a little more descriptive in your explanation?
I nor my collegues can really build an idea of the problems you are encountering just on KNOW NOTHING ABOUT COMPUTERS AND CAN'T GET HELP????

I need help with a code 12 for. 95 grand Cherokee orvis 5.2l. In need of some help. I know what the code says, but don't understand what it means.


A code 12 just means that memory to the controller has been cleared within 50-100 engine starts, which can occur whenever the battery terminals are disconnected, battery completely dies, etc. Nothing to worry about really, and it is NOT related to the thread that you found.

The codes you found indicate there are no stored trouble codes: Code 12 means that the battery or the computer power lead was disconnected sometime during the last 50 operating cycles. This is not an indication of a problem. Code 55 means that there are no other stored codes in the computer.

Dell dimension wont boot up to windows..


Try these steps, hope they will help you:

1. Copy all your files and documents to an external storage device.
2. Shut down the computer.
3. Turn the PC back on and hit the F8 key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Option Screen appears.
4. Click "Repair Your Computer" if you are not already on it and then press ENTER
5. choose your country and click OK
6. On the "System Recovery Options Screen" click "Restore Application" which is the last option.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions
8. When prompted, click on "Full Factory Recovery"
9. "Next"
10. Click "Yes"
11. you will notice for a while it seems like nothing is happening, give it some time.
12. After some minutes, recovery will complete and you click "Finish"

Let me know if it helps you.
Use system utility tool like RegInOut to remove unwantted files and fix registry and windows errors.

I have Dell inspiron 1525 window vista recovery reports 5 error are detected in hard drive and memory errors detected on my laptop 1. hard drive doesnt respond to system commands-critical error 2.boot...


your HDD may be corrupted, re-installing windows vista is one option. Your best bet is if you have/ can obtain a copy of windows vista run setup and try the repair wizard in the windows vista setup, the wizard automatically finds errors and missing files and replaces them therefore solving any errors in your HDD. you can also try to use the recovery wizard from your recovery disc. best of luck

Hi,

Eversince PC Restore has been put to Dell computers, it has been convinient for home users to reset their computers back to factory settings. This error indicates that the factory image settings pre-stored in the hard drive of your computer is corrupted already. What you need to do is to perform manual reinstallation of Windows. Assuming still have the Recovery Disks for your computer, you may follow the steps from this LINK01.

If this computer was shipped before September 28, 1994, you may take advantage of its Lifetime Phone Support from a Dell Technical Representative. You may double check the shipped date of your computer from this LINK02. Prepare your computer's Service Tag number that can be found at the back your desktop on a white sticker with a barcode on it then call 1-877-293-1197.

If you have lost your Recovery Disks, you may request these CDs by calling 1-877-293-1197.

I have a dell inspiron 5100 i turn it on and now i get a message saying. A disk error occurred Press Ctrl+AlT+Del to restart and i get nothing i get the same thing and i try to diagnostics it and...


Your dell seems to have a bad hard drive. The "DST" is a Drive Self Test. This test determines whether or not your drive can start up and read and write. When you have this failure you can sometimes recover some of the data but you probably will not be able to boot the computer if you have not been able to do so thus far. If your dell is still under warranty I would recommend that you call dell and see if you can get it replaced.

If you do not know if your dell is under warranty you can get on another computer and open your internet browser and navigate to http://support.dell.com.

Click on (Start Here) under "Support for Home Users"
On the top right hand side of the of the page hover over "Warranty Information" and click on "Warranty Status"

On that page you want to enter in your Service Tag. That can be located on the bottom of your laptop usually on a white or black sticker.

Once you find out if your laptop is under warranty you can call dells support line to see if you can get it repaired. You may need to provide the error code to them in order to get a replacement.

Help! My Dell Inspirion 1525 laptop crashed, black screen, nothing..I ran the diagnostic test for the os and there were several errors. I have the reinstallation discs but do not know to do that.


0F00 errors are hard disk drive errors. You will need to replace the hard drive. If under warranty, call Dell Tech support. If not, then you can buy a new drive from places like Newegg.com

I am Having problem restoring my dell 2400


Well you may have a bad mother board or IDE port to which the HDD is connected. If the CD is connected to the same IDE channel as the HDD, move it to IDE1 which is the second IDE channel. If it then recognizes your CD, IDE0 is bad and you need to replace your board. Let me know how things are connected inside the computer.
