providing its not under guarantee remove mains plug and remove door skin from front of door carefully, as it has to go back on, look for any broken wires just above the door hinge, there will be about 10 or 15 wires, its possible that if you have checked what you said have checked properly that one of these wires has got hot and broken (very common fault of all dishwashers aver 3 year old) replace wire with care etc, work safely,

Hi Derek if its only been used about as you say ten times it will stil be under gaurantee,just call the supplier and have them solve the problem for you mate it sounds as if the program selector is faulty as it is all eletronic programming and could even be a faulty circuit board.

Did anyone ever manage to work out what the cause of this was? Our dishwasher is exactly the same. We had it fixed once under warranty and it lasted about a year before breaking again. Unfortunately we never asked what work was done during the first repair. Thanks. Stuart
