SOURCE: No electrical continuity within the hose of my

Those hoses are pretty close to being a sealed unit, and was meant to be replaced and not repaired. That being said, some people do fix the problem IF they can locate the problem close to either end. Most people won't mess with an open in the middle of the hose.

Unfortunately, since they are designed to be a replaced item and not a repairable item, there is no written instruction on disassembly. So it is one of those to times when you study your hose and figure out when the break is and then decide on if it is worth attempting a repair.

You've probably blown the 5a fuse on the control board. This
fuse is pretty much hard wired in - I had to solder in a replacement.

Power head not working

Steve:

The terminals for the power head plug into a terminal inside the machine. You'll need to unplug the machine from the wall and open the canister to find where the terminal wires plug into. You probably need to open the lower half of the canister to find those terminal plugs. It would help if you have a multimeter. The wires actually run through the hose, so I would check the hose carefully to see if the wires have been damaged there.

I have hoover S3670055 when I turn it on the power head does not come on when when you press the switch on

I too am having difficulty. Everything seems fine electrically. I only get about 350 mv AC Power with the switch off and 1.7V AC with the swiitch on. I would think the power brush head would require DC voltage of some sort.. Like 12V???

The brushes won't spin. I put new brushes on and it still doesn't spin.

Usually when the brushes won't turn it is due to a bad turbine. Insert a screwdriver into the square hole that the pin on the brush fits into, and see if it turns. If it is seized up, the turbine assembly will need to be replaced.

Brushes won't turn

The brushes are powered by air suction from the motor. At the heart of this complicated system are roller bearings. When one fails the system fails. This is not one of the parts that Hoover thinks is needed on it's parts site so I've haven't found a way to repair this.

Have a Hoover model S3670 and the beater brush no longer spins. Have checked the beater belt and it is good, did find out that the light bulb in the unit was bad. Any suggestions on how to test the motor...

I usually test the motor with a cord with alligator clips on the wires, and attach them to the black and white wires on the motor ( remove the belt first ). A very common problem with this model was a short circuit developing in the short cord that runs from the nozzle motor into the swivel neck. This is probably where the problem lies. Replacing the cord is best left to someone with experience.
