Question about Nokia N86 Smartphone
I had put my mobile in charging at 10.30pm and took it off the next morno=ing 4.30 am. When i looked it into the mobile it was switched off, and its not getting switched on.
1.Check the device's battery level for at least two bars of strength.
2.If the battery level is low, charge the battery.
3.If the issue is not resolved, remove the back cover.
4.Remove the battery.
5.Wait 10 seconds.
6.Press and hold the W key.
7.While pressing down the W key, re-insert the battery.
•The device restarts and after approximately 15 seconds, the 'Recovery' screen appears
•Release the power button but *continue holding the home button*, for another 30 seconds.
mostly nokia chargers doesn't make problems...
just try the following..
connect ur mobile with a system (usb cable)...
found out whether it is charging or not...
if the same prblm appears then there is a prblm in ur cell phone or power jack(socket)...
if it charged with usb cable buy a new charger
Please change Phone Bettery and check the charging

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: NOKIA 5310 can't turn on
Okay, so I totally freaked when this happened to me :(
BUT! I think I figured out how to fix it :)
As mentioned by others, remove the parts and put them back in.
1. Remove the Battery
2. Remove the Sim Card (You can't remove without the battery first taken out [SO DON'T TRY :P])
3. Remove the SD Memory Card
Now... I put them all back in and powered it back up... and it did the white/black screens :(
So then I tried again, several times, to no avail.
What worked for me is, when putting them back in, ***do not insert the SD Memory Card***
Power it up with just the battery and Sim Card, and see if it works. For me it did. I think something in the memory was corrupted... :(
I've since tried powering the phone off, putting the SD Card back in, and turning it on... it still loads now, but it isn't registering the memory :(
So, as a lesson, back up your data early and often. Which I luckily did :) And now I think I have an excuse to upgrade to a bit larger memory :P
Hope this helps!!!

My Nokia 5310 also wouldn't charge; pocket lint had become trapped in the charging hole, and was packed down over time. I used a very thin straight-pin to gently scrape the lint out of the hole until I could see the gold-colored metal pad at the bottom (using a very bright flashlight and small dental mirror to direct the light). That took about 20 minutes. Now the charger plug slides all the way into the port and clicks into place. Tip: Be gentle, that center pin will break if you try to use something fat, like a safety-pin or a toothpick. -- John Dollison, Colorado.
