Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

Hi there, I have a samsung top loader washing machine SW80SP, the has been some grayish mould like stuff in my tub for the last couple of washes. I did a "clean tub" cycle with jabola in my maching but it still seems to be there a bit. I have a baby so Im worried about this stuff getting on his washing. The user manual I have seems to be missing the "clean tub" cycle information. Can you please tell me how to get rid of this? & where it may be coming from? so I can clean it properly. Thanks, Shannon

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: Black stuff in washing machine

You need to clean the filter out (look in your machine - it's on the side of the tub) then run a wash with a cup of vinegar in it (or on soak with napisan or something like that in it). It's just gunk build up.

SOURCE: Can't get rid of E1 error on a Samsung front loader washing mach.

E1 : washing machine has exceeded a check time for fill, heat or empty.

Common causes for this are fill and empty problems, heater fault (or the wiring
to it broken), water pump open circuit (although that would stop the water draining too) Pressure chamber blocked or pressure tubing pipe looped below the pressure bottle, or a sticking eco ball in the sump hose (sludge and grease build up)

This error code is generic and vey common.Since you have tried the remedies.Try getting checked the internal wiring damage by professionals.I hope certainly hope the problem lies there.

SOURCE: Hi we have a Fisher

You might have some junk in the pump. I have an older service manual you might want to look through to give you an idea how to get to the pump. The pump on these has a locking tab you lift then twist the pump a hair and it drops right out. Service manual

My whirlpool top loader extra large washing macine

Hi,

Many late model washing machines use a direct-drive system to agitate and spin. They don't use belts or pressure wheels to transfer power and motion from the motor to the transmission. The motor is coupled directly to the transmission. If the motor is running and there is no agitation or spinning of the tub, the culprit is usually a plastic coupling between the motor and transmission or the transmission itself.

Washing machine won't wash when on large cycle

without stating the make and model it makes it harder for us to help you figure them out .front loaders are more prone to this type problem than top loaders .could be the gear box is going bad or a belt getting stretched

Hotpoint Washing Machine smells mouldy as has mould

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.

Next: You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works great on all front loaders. Use hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle. Also helps with any stagnant water smells. Have you cleaned out your pump lately. Put the pellet inside the machine, not in the soap dispenser.
Pl give me a good rating for the free help, thanks.

Washing machine cold water not filling

Typically this indicates that you have a water inlet valve that is not opening. Replacement of this part would be ideal, and should fix the problem.
