Question about Dell UltraSharp E248WFP 24" LCD Monitor
I have multiple verticle lines/streaks down the monitor's LCD screen. These lines don't appear when another monitor is attached so it's not the video card. I also tried hooking the monitor up to a different computer and same problem with both VGA and DVI hookup. I tried looking at all the capacitors but I couldn't visibly see any that looked like they were bulging or leaking. The lines don't move and seem to be of multiple colors. I can't see them along white or black background colors. How do I go about fixing this?? Thanks for any suggestions!
The Display panel could be bad/damaged or the main board that controls every thing could be bad---parts for Dell equipment are known to be hard and sometimes impossible to find.

Have you unplugged the power cord to the LCD? Let it sit for a minute, then try it. ALWAYS buy a UPS and plug any computer devices into it. Doesn't have to be big, a $50 unit will protect it from dangerous voltage surges.

The only way to repair this would be to have the LCD screen replaced in the monitor and more than likely you can buy a replacement monitor that is bigger for less than the cost of the LCD repair.
