If this type of problem seems to be in moniter then at first check it.
1.check the VGA cable is it attach properly, also check it's pins because might be any pin could be bent.
2.check the moniter colour setting and reset it.
3. otherwize second thing is restart the system and go on BIOS utility here check that the issue is same or not, if the patches are still showing that means the problem is with the O'S
and if it's not being in BIOS that means the problem is with moniter, then check the graphic card driver on device manager, is it intalled properly or not if not then uninstall the driver and istall it again, after that if problem will insist then the problem is with moniter may be that colour has been disturb through magnetic effect.now it will'b repair

Most likely it is your VGA cable gone bad. I remember doing a warranty call for HP once, I was the third tech to go out and replace a motherboard. When I got there, I found out that the cable was bad and it was giving everything a blue tint. I would certainly recommend replacing the VGA cable. I bet if you wiggled the VGA (monitor) cable on the back of your computer, it will come and go.

Hi, My monitor will once in awhile go from the warm white color to a slightly red or pinkish color. The monitor is about 5 years old and the model # is AL1913. Any thoughts? Thanks. Don

Red or pinkish cast on the whole screen? You may want to check the VGA connectors and pins at both ends. Also try it with anothe PC to make sure it is not video problem in the PC.

Monitor color is pink at switch on. 5-10 minutes after normal

There are many things that could be causing that, but to fix it would take some electronic equipment, schematic, and know-how. It could be as simple as a faulty potentiomet, but a shop would charge you more than it's worth to fix it. My advice is to live with it until it gets too bad, and invest in a new one If you're not ready to advance to the LCD monitors yet, check with a Used Computer Store- they usually have CRT monitors at a reasonable price. Hope this helps.

The problem can be the lamps are bad, the only way to tell is to remove the lamps, look for poor soldering works where the wires are attached to the lamps, bad lamps will have very dark color at the end of the lamps, just like bad fluorescent lamp you see when it is worn out, anoher sign of bad lamp is pinkish glow when lamp si first turn on. The transistors and caps are good in the inverter section?

Monitor led is green when vga cable cunect but on diesplay on monitor?

if the screen is only green then unplug and replug the cable but this time hold it on to the connection and jiggle it until you see the screen's color back to normal, if not then there might be a problem with the monitor's congifuration on the lcd screen or even in the system under the drivers or the wire is busted

Pink Monitor

Hello,

Are the monitor and computer both new or are they used? If the monitor is used then I would bet the problem is the backlight tubes. The backlights in LCD monitors are fluorescent lamps just like in your house or office. When the bulbs get old and about to burn out the output light changes from white to a pinkish color. At this point if your monitor is several years old and you have a pinkish display you need to start looking for a deal on a new unit. It is possible to replace the tubes but it is very hard to do because they are so small and fragile.

I hope this helps.

Step one is to try hooking up your monitor to a different computer. If that does not yield a different result then it is likely going to be a problem with the power circuit in the monitor.

If your monitor is still under warranty then you should be ok, if not then you can contact Samsung for help by using THIS webform.

You may also be able to get this fixed at a local TV repair shop, but you best answer, considering the smallish size of that monitor would be to go buy a new one. Many decent LCD monitors can be had for about $100.
