It is a Smart seriesI lost my CD ROM software for my digital camera model A1455 and cannot transfer my pictures to the computer.

You don't need any special software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

When my memory card is in my camera i get an error reading "write protect". how do i get this off so i can take pictures?

There should be a little switch on your memory card that is used to turn on write protection. Try removing your card from camera and checking for that switch.

E1235 - nothing appearing on screen/can't photo view

Ok, I just solved this issue. I have had the issue for a while and called GE and they told me they would give me a discount replacement at $125, when new it is less then $100. SO GE ITS NOT HAPPENING!!! Well I decided to fix it my self.
1st: Take out all the screws (7 total) one is hidden under the av out cover. Make sure u mark all the longer screw heads and location with a marker so you know where they go. There were only to sizes so if you mark the longer ones you should be ok.
2nd slowly pull the back of the camera back (BUT BE CAREFULL, do not pull to far there are wires from the LCD and buttons to the camera.) Now there is a little tab on the main board holding the wires from the LCD to the camera. Flip it up and remove the LCD wires. After you do that push the LCD wires back in and flip the tab back down. Be careful not to damage wires or tab. Put case back together, put screws in where they go, and wallah. Your camera should work. If not try again, and make sure your properly putting wires in. If it doesn't work email me I will be making YouTube video for this soon. REMEMBER TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I AM NOT RESPONSABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU CAUSE!!!

Pictures still blurry

Instead of green auto mode set to P mode and chagne the flash setting to non auto.If flash is is in auto mode flash will not fire and picture will be blurry. So your flash must fire every time (and it must not be decided by camera's auto flash mode).
I am sure this will solve your settings.
Please rate if satisfied.

I just received this camera today and was wondering if there is a way to change the speed with which the camera takes a picture? Mine is taking at LEAST 12 seconds each picture if not longer.

Hi,

This can be achieved by many ways. If you use a memory card which has a higher writing speed it will take very less time. This is measured in terms of 'X'. Any higher X cards is good. Go for SDHC cards rather than normal SD cards. Also use ISO in auto mode. Your apperture speed needs to be as low as possible. Also you can lower the quality of the picture taken which will also result in faster clicks of snaps.

Thanks
Sweet

I had the same problem. I tried a reset in the camera, also reformated the card through the camera once I had done a reset. At present it seems ok.
