SOURCE: iPod Touch got wet and the battery won't charge

Sorry, that will not help. When I look at water damaged iPod, 99% of the time something inside has been shorted out and has to be replaced to fix it (that is if the other parts are still working okay). From what you are describing about it not having power on its own, it sounds like the logic board inside was fried. This part can be replaced, but it would be about the same price to fix as it would be to buy a new 8GB 2nd Gen.

SOURCE: iPod Touch 1st Gen Headphone Jack Replacement

The ipod touch HPJ is not too hard to repair. A good source for the part would be ebay. But There is a stepby step guide toothat explains how to repair the jack as opposed to replacing it : iPod touch repair. There are also third party iPod repair companies that do it for you.

SOURCE: replaced digitizer screen & not responding to touch

Most likely it is a burnt resistor, or your digitizer was bad/faulty. Try taking it off and using conductive spray (Without lube...No pun intended) but one with lube can ruin the digitizer. make sure not to get any overspray on anything but the conductors.

Replace screen on Ipod touch

You can buy kits for this on ebay, or seveal other websites that specialize in apple parts. Installing the screen is easy and there are utube videos that will show you how to do it yourself. They come with a tool for opening the ipod and changing out the screen. Also google replacement screen for "your model" and you will get hundreds of sights that sell the parts. If you don't think you can do it, "you can", then apple is your only alternative, or the store you purchased from may have a repair service

My screen cracked completely. I can still use multitouch, but it is hard to read. Is this easy to replace by myself?

Not terribly hard to replace.

The above link is for a 1st Generation iPod Touch, if you have a later generation just select it from the menu at the left side of the page.

These guys also have good walkthroughs for the replacement procedures.

Hope this helps.

Replace Iphone screen with IpodTouch Screen ?

No. They are completely different LCD's and Different Digitizers. An iPod touch's form factor is also different than a iPhones, as the touch is slightly taller, and narrower, I believe. I had a similar precdicament, so I know from doing some studying.
