Common problem. Your convergence chips and resistors need to be replaced. Check with the site www.TvRepairKits.com for parts and replacement instructions.

1.) As far as the coolant goes--it is clear and called Glycol---you just want to look to make sure you have no leaks---none has gotten on the circuit boards.
2.) If the blue will not move in some direction one of the two STK-392-120 CONVERGENCE chips this set uses is bad. There are also a number of 6.8 ohm light green resistors around them that need to be looked at and tested--The chips are on the left large board side by side on metal heat sinks(as you look from the back)---the resistors are in front and left to right around several plugs(convergence yoke plugs)if any of the resistors are white in the middle they need to be replaced along with both chips.
3.) You can buy the pair of chips on Ebay for about 13 dollars plus shipping--the resistors can be purchased at almost any parts place that sells TV parts--these places may also have the chips but usually charge a lot more then on Ebay.
4.) It all depends on how much soldering skill you have---You will need: Two new chips, Solder, a desoldering braid, liquid flux, heat sink grease, and some denatured alcohol----the flux makes it much more easy to unsolder the chips--lead free solder was used in these sets and it can be difficult to unsolder them---when you solder the new chips in apply liquid flux again.
5.) If you are able to do this repair you can save some real money as most shops TRY to charge 300-400 for this type of repair; I have done hundreds of them and here I charge 200-250 depending on the set.
6.) If you have questions or need advice contact me by replying to this posting.

If you went into the customer menu and red is skewed or warped etc and will not adjust it is not the Glycol or a comb filter.
This model uses two of the STK-392-120 CONVERGENCE IC's---if convergence problem--you will need to replace both of them and any of the 6.8 ohm protect resistors around them that are bad.
If you remove the back (unplug the set first) as you look from the back the large board on the far left will have two large metal heat sinks with fins on its right side---the chips are on the left side of them.
Take a good look with a flashlight at all the little green resistors in front of the front one and to the left of it--there are three plugs there--these are the protect resistors--if any are white in the middle--you found your problem.
Half the time only two will be gone---sometimes none.
Parts cost for this repair if you can do it yourself is about 25 dollars or less----most shops get at least 300 for this repair and some do not do it in the home.
Glycol or a comb filter will not cause the red to be out of position---some people here know more than others--
If you have some skill at soldering I can tell you the best place to get the chips etc and how to get at them.
I don't think this set is worth the type of shop repair that is needed--unless you are able or know a friend who can help you--it may be time to let it go.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR WANT MORE INFORMATION OR ADVICE LET ME KNOW---
I am here to help people--sometimes I cannot give them good news but if red will not move you have a convergence problem.

you turn TV on , but no pucture nor sound, only a constant beeping (like a cricket) can be heard coming from inside back panel.
