There really is not way around this: someone is going to have to open the unit and see what has happened, it will range from the disc being out of position or jammed to a issue with the mechanism being out of alignment or damaged.

Dvd is stuck in tv/dvd combo

here you can mess the unit up completely if your not carefull,,some of the many different types of system unit have a small hole on the door itself, carefully power on then push a straightened paperclip into this hole,,if you can find one that is,,your only other options would be to use a very flat knife and try to time pressure on the door in conjunction with the power on button the door itself is ,or can be operated by internal cog mechanisms which can break easily--good luck--Davey

I can't get my DVD disc to eject. It will play but won't eject? Any suggestions

You should try unplugging the DVD player from its power source then plugging it back in. Now try to open it and if that doesn't work than you'll probraly have to take it apart to get the disk out but sometimes the DVD players can get worn out or if you have a cheaper DVD player it might just be freezing up on you. I have had these problems before. I just took the DVD player apart to get my disk and then trashed it.

CD is stuck inside of a tv/dvd player

Try shutting the television off. With the unit turned off, hold the eject button and turn the unit back on. Continue holding the eject button for 30 seconds or until the DVD comes out.
If this doesn't work, try unplugging the TV for 5 minutes and attempting the above steps.
Hope this helps!

Dvd door won't open for Sanyo DVW 6000

If you are trying to eject a disc, look closely at the front bezel of the drive, there is a small hole near the eject button, push a paper clip into the hole (straightened paperclip) and the tray will be ejected.

If the DVD door is stuck and will not open through ejecting via the icon in My computer, or the eject button on the bezel will not work, you likely have a faulty drive that will need to be replaced

My Toshiba VCR & DVD video recorder model D-VR4XSU won't eject a DVD disc from the player, neither by pressing the eject button on the remote nor by the eject button on the players console.

A temporary solution would be to use a paperclip to eject it; usually, any disk drive has a little hole that a paperclip can be stuck into which forces it to eject.

Stuck dvd in dvd player

This is what LG customer service will instruct you to do. I have a LG LDA-511:

1. Unplug your unit.
2. After unplugging, wait a few seconds then press and hold the power button (yes, while the unit is unplugged). This resets the unit.
3. Plug in your unit.
4. Press the eject button.

If the disc does not come out, then you need service from an authorized service representative.
