Most likely if the set has on it a physical button for this---the tiny switch under that button is bad---most common way to know is someone needs to get at the switch from inside the set and remove it.

Set will still function with the remote---if removing that part makes the set work, just leave it out and use the remote for that function.

On you remote control look for INPUT or SOURCE, cycle though until you get it back. Very often it will be listed as the name of the cable or satellite source.

Rca unusable signal

Your TV could be on the wrong input source. if your using red/white/yellow cables look for an inpout button or source or even TV/Video. your tV has many inputs on it and you can only acess them 1 at a time, this allows you to toggle through the input sources and when you get to the right on you'll have picture and sound

I have a 6" plasma

Keep pushing the tv input button. This will allow you to cycle back through the other inputs and get you back to your source. When you pushed the button, you changed the source input.

My input source screen keeps popping up and scrolling through the options - once I select source (example TV) the TV will come on then the input source comes back on and keeps scrolling on its own

My new 4K Vizio 60" M60-C3 started scrolling through input channels on it's own and after a minute would stop and "land" on an input, then I would have to change it to the correct one. Then the volume started "racing" to 100 making it impossible to watch. Vizio repairman came and replaced a small board about 1.5 in. x 5 in. and it is back working again. It fell within the 1 year warranty, so no charge, and he suggested I go back to Wal-Mart where I bought it and spend $59 on the extended warranty. I am certainly going to try and do that.

T.v. flashes off and on while watching it but doesn't do it when watching dvd's

I'm assuming that the source that flashes is sat/cab connection. If the cable types are the same between the dvd and the other source (both hdmi ?) then try swapping them. If not then purchase a cable to swap(keep the receipt and make sure you can return) to see if the problem goes away. If it is a cable/sat/dvr then try unplugging for about 30 minutes and plug back in. If that doesn't work, then try changing the input where the cable plugs into the tv . . . if its HDM1, then move it to HDM2 and make sure that you switch sources on the tv to new source . . .

When i switch my tv on it turn's itself to standby, i can switch it back on again but it just keep's switching itself to stanby after a couple of minutes.

You need a live input source to the port that the TV is set to, or turn on the tv and switch input to a live input source, anything else and the tv shifts to standby.

I hit source button-no tv

You will have changed the inout signal on the Tv to either HDMI input or EXT1 , or AVI. You need to keep pressing the source button until you reach TV again, the TV button (depending on what tv you have) :)
