I have the same problem, and am running Media Player 10. This product has been working great for over a year on this machine. The only thing I recently did was upgrade Windows XP from SP2 to SP3. Any other ideas? (Please don't suggest I roll back SP3.)

I have the same problem since reinstalling windows after wiping hard drive. Neither the Creative software nor Media Player 11 will allow the player to dock. The player works on a friends old PC through Meida Player 9.

Lots of advice from Tech support and several downloads later still no success. Only option is to buy a Sony!

It is a conflict with Windows Media Player 11. Roll it back to the previous version and restart the computer. I just did it and it works

Guess you can connect your player to computer through USB, visualize files as Removable Disk and delete files you don't need.
Maybe you need a driver to connecto to computer

If you already try both reset, then try doing a firmware update.

On computer try unplugging computer power cable, and if it is a laptop also remove battery, this sort out problems related with electrostatic charges on computer USB ports.

Try a different USB port. If you are plugging it into the front of the computer, try plugging it into the back of the computer.

Creative Zen V Plus will not charge using an adapter

Install the software included with the Creative Zen V Plus. Many problems with the MP3 player can be resolved by installing or updating the software included with the device. Use the CD that came with the player to make the install, or log on the Creative Zen V Plus product page on the company website to download the latest firmware:

Zen V plus can't detect by the computer & all the data base losts

Suggestion: uninstall the failed portable device in Device Manager.
================================================
Note: You should already have the application for your portable device installed on your computer before continuing.
1. Go to Device Manager and make sure that your portable device is not reporting any problem. If it is, uninstall it.
2. Reconnect your portable device. The computer should detect it now.

Computer doesn't recognize device is plugged in.

Hi,
try aa different USB Port if your computer Has One.
Turn the power On The MPEG Player on and off when it,s Connected.
If this does,nt help.
Replace your USB lead, it is possibly broken internally, or player fault.
