Question about General Washing Machines
I have model WCVH6800J1MR. It will fill fine on the basket clean but it will not fill during normal wash cycles. So the solenoids should be working fine. I would think that the basket clean cyle also uses the water level sensor so I would think that is fine. Running t02 check I get E22. Well I know there is a fill problem so this didn't help. Test t06 is normal, it fills to all 3 levels then empties. Test t12 seems OK on pdt and ddt but doesn't seem to do bdt and Fdt. I do not see either of those chambers filling. I don't use bleach or fabris softener so this doesn't really bother me. However, would that cause the wash cycles not to fill the wash at all? Intake screens are clean. I cleared the t02 error code (E2) and tried again. Help!!!

Here is the information you requested. This is straight out of the service manual for your machine.
E38 = Dispenser Error
Correct reservoir is not found and 8 switches are seen when motor is running. Check dispenser - t12 (Note: Do not unplug connectors from dispenser motor unless replacing.)
