Have closed cover properly. cover vup sign still there.


Try to follow the steps below to identify and fix the problem:
  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
  2. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
  3. Close the printer cover.
  4. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.
  5. When the printer turns on and comes back with the error on the display screen, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance. If no error appears, reinsert one cartridge first.
  6. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.
  7. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.

Message says COVER OPEN CLOSE COVER but the cover is closed


The problem could be due to the printer cover sensor getting stuck or the cartridges in the carrier. Please follow steps below to identify and fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Make sure there are no foreign objects or debris in the feeder.

2. Open the printer cover and remove both the cartridges.

3. While the cover is open, ensure there are no paper jams and the cartridge carrier is free from obstructions.

4. Close the printer cover.

5. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.

6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.

Hello my lexmark printer model #5270 says Cartridge error #1203 I use black-32 color-33

Its a lexmark x1270 scanner n printer. it would not print since the new cartridge has been put in it says that the cover is open though its not and the support info i got i did everything the manual said...

I have canon IR2010F copier with ADF and automatic feeder slips while taking the document in the feeder and makes tic tic tic tic noise while taking in the paper in the feeder, When we provide hand...


there are two locking handles for the adf on either side of the cover of adf i am sure one of them is broken or disfigured that why when u press it the adf works.i dont think this spare part is available u have to use ur own creative skills to make it through melting plastic to make a hook for that side

Printer wont print showing C 5 E on display


EC5 error code indicates a short has been detected in one of your cartridges. Try to remove both your cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the cover and check for any error. Close printer cover error when cover is closed


The cover sensor might have dislodged or not in its proper position. You could try to reset your printer to determine if there's a hardware fault. Remove the cartridges from your printer. Close the cover. Unplug and replug your printer into the power source. When the printer turns on completely, reinsert your cartridges. Check if error appears again.
