Question about Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console
Hello, a few weeks ago I started having trouble with my PS2 slimline (I think it's about 5 years old now). When I try to start a game (doesn't matter which one), it does start but freezes somewhere in the loading process. One game makes it to the main menu, but when I try to open any other screen it freezes in the animation between those. It might have something to do with the memory card. I tried out a game I had never played before and it told me the memory card did not have enough space left. When I tried opening it in browser, it freezes so I can't delete old files. I have opened and cleaned my PS2 slim already, without any effect. I really hope someone could help me, or else I'll have to buy a new one :( Celine

this has something to do with the laser, which you shouldnt try to fix, dont ship it to sony either there a waste of money and time. local shops can fix he issue and are fairly priced

Sony machines have notoriously bad lasers. I find that with the slim if you have a small amount of nail polish remover on a cotton bud and dab the laser (whilst off and without touching the laser) that does the trick
