Using logitech 9000 with google video chat, 5 second sound delay
I have a logitech 9000 web cam hooked up to google video chat in IE in Vista. (It doesn't work in Firefox) The picture works fine but the sound is not that clear AND has about a 5 second delay. My daughter or I speak but don't hear each other until about 5 seconds later. Any ideas?

Yes indeed the LWS software only allows you for 30sec video, the problem with this webcam is that it needs to be power cycled, you can use software such as Webcam First, that will allow you all the function you wanted, but you will get error messages from the cam ramdomly, and you will need to power cycle the webcam to run it again.
That s a pity, because I love this pro 9000 the quality is just amazing but this issue a real problem when using the webcam for monitoring.
The other way around is to use a USB Powered hub that can be power cycled from a remote location, if you can t access the webcam for any reason.
You say you wanted to record 2/3 hours, should be fine, I use to have to reboot the webcam after some 6/7 hours.
Hope this help !
Thanks and have a nice day !
I had this problem but I fixed it. The google chat uninstaller does not
uninstall everything. Go to the hidden folder Application Data of the
default or local user in the Documents and Settings folder of the C
drive, you will find the plugin folder for google chat. Delete it and
then reinstall the plugin and it will work.
