Error Message "The server 192.168.11.1

The default name suggestions that no additional configurations have been done on the device out of the box. The default login should be "root" with no password. If this fails, see the source for information on resetting the device to factory defaults.

Have forgotten the password to log in on my buffalo WHR-G125 router. How can I find what it is or reset it to default?

Reset to factory settings is usually a small button on the back of the unit. It may be a very small hole which you will have to insert a paper clip into to press.

I have forgotten my password. How do I reset the router to defaults if I can't log in? I have a Buffalo wbr2 g54s

You will need to get a ping or paperclip, something that is small. On the back of the router will be a little whole and inside that whole will be a reset button. Hold that button in with the paperclip or pin until the lights on the front of the router flash. Once that is done it has been reset. Then the usual password is:

Account:admin
Password: password

Cannot open web page through router

Try opening network connections TCP/IPv4 on your pc and add ip address manualy to be in the same number match the same as your router ie default gateway and preferred DNS Server eg 192.168.1.1 or 10.1.1.1 depending on what default the router is set on the ip address should be the same apart from the last no. eg 192.168.1.8 or 10.1.1.8 subnet mask will default to the right setting if you push the tab key after entering the ip address

Hope this helps

Can't configure router for Domain name and DNS

dns= domain naming service or something alike...
you don't have normally to anything to your router other than allowing incoming traffic to port 80...once you do that, you should be all set..frrom your computer at home if you type your domain name, your pc actually goes to the internet clowd and accesses you new domain name based on the info gathered by dyndns...then comes back to the ip that your ISP assigned you and hits your webserver...

A couple things to consider;
keep an eye on the ip assigned to you by the ISP..if it changes by DHCP your webserver won't be seen by the outside..

on your side of the home network, assign a static ip address, don't use dhcp as well to avoid the same problem on the pc that you have the webserver. your router should allow you to allow traffic on port 80 to your webserver computer, which has the static IP...
if it does not, buy another one
