Question about HP Laserjet M2727nf Multifunction Printer

HP laserjet m2727nf will not start up

The printer has power but when switched on it just shows HP and little arrors in the display and does not ever get to READY status, No error is displayed

we have tried unplugging it and restarting it but problem persists.

This is a remote printer located in another office so it may be difficult for me to provide you with an exact information

    I have a problem like this one. The device was hang up during the "Programming ..." phase when updating firmware and i must turn power off. After power it on "Hewlett Packard" and some arrows message displays on the screen and i can't resume or restart firmware update and device is unusable.



    P.S. Sorry for my english.

    I had the same problem after a few months of normal usage. Powers up and then it just stops and seems to turn off- nothing on the screen, doesn't light up, etc.
    I called service/support and they recommended the cold reset but it didn't do any good.

    Got the printer lightly used from another business site, and it started fine (even got an IP address), but stopped functioning as soon as I put toner in it - now it doesn't boot at all.

I had this problem. You need to do a cold reset. To do this turn the machine off. Hold down the 6 and the # on the fax pad. Keep holding these keys down and turn machine on. After about a half a minute let the buttons go. It should do a reset. It may take up to 25 minutes to do this however my took less than one minute

Same problem, I called HP and they've extended the warranty because of the issues they've had with the formatter boards. They let me bring it in locally and have it repaired for free, or you can buy a refurb from them for 45.00, good deal!

I also had the same problem and the cold reset did not work. It was under warranty so a tech came out and discovered the Motherboard was shot. The machine was only a few months old and the tech thought it may have been due to a power surge. We had it plugged into a surge protector, but there was construction in the area and the tech said sometimes the surge may be powerful enough to fry right through the protector.

Hi,
May be cable loose or heavy dust available in printer that`s why your printer not proper response it. Or may be printer main board damage position so i suggest you contact it printer technician or checking it, which area damage.

The error message is Oxc18a0001. What is wrong with it. I've turned the printer off like it said to do, with no change.


Error seen on printers HP: HP Photosmart 7280, C5180, C6280, HP photosmart 8250...


Solution 1:

1. Press and hold "left arrow" key
2. Press the "setup" key and release both keys
3. Press and release the "OK" button
4. Press and release the right arrow button until the display says "System Configuration Menu". 2. Press and release the "OK" button.
5. Display should say "Hardware failure status". If not there already, Arrow Key over to "Hardware failure status",
6. Press and release the "OK" button.
7. Display should say "Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear".
8. Press and release the "OK" Button. Message changes to "Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue".
9. Press and release the "CANCEL" button as many times as necessary, so that, either the "Welcome to Photosmart Express" screen appears, or, the "Ink System Failure" screen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.
10. Using the Power Button, turn the unit OFF and unplug the power cable from back of the printer and wall outlet.
11. Wait 30 seconds for the power to get discharged and then plug the power cable into the wall outlet first and then into the back of the printer
12. Turn the unit on. The printer may display message "USE POWER BUTTON TO SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER" followed by "PRESS OK TO CONTINUE". Press OK.
13. If the printer has already initialized, then go to the next step. If not, the printer will start the "ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS". Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page.
14. To verify printer functionality print a SELF TEST PAGE. If SELF TEST prints, then printer is ready for use or Software Installation.
15. If the error is still there, or reoccurs the printer is already defective.

My HP all in one printer C7100 has an error message that says there is an ink system failure error 0xc18a0201 I don't find any solution What should I do. It won't fax either.


Try this solution.

Trying to print a picture from my dell computer. when i hit print on the computer printer does not print. what button do i push on the printer itself. when i go to view/print it just says to insert memory...


With the printer power on, unplug and then plug in the printer from/to the computer. This should force the printer to be reinstalled.
Check the printer status.
Click START>Control Panel>Devices and Printers>click on your printer. check the status for any error messages. On the printer status, delete all pending jobs. Once the printer status display shows that all pending jobs have been deleted, retry printing.

A. - Press and Hold the "Print Photos" & "Red Eye Removal" buttons. Release both buttons. Display should say "Enter Special Key Combo"

from your printers folder go to the tool bar and open "tools" there is an option in the drop down menu thats "use printer off line" make sure that this is not checked.i have had this problem often when the printer gets shut down and the pc stays on.
if this is not the problem uninstall and reinstall the driver. the problem is between your pc and the printer or in the software.

Mfc7340 will not print--it was working just fine and then it errors out. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it shows ready but errors out

First, please make sure there is no error message displayed on the LCD screen of the printer

Now we will check the status of your printer in the printers menu in the control panel.
The printer’s status should be set to “ready”
If the printer is “paused” simply clear the print queue, right click on the printer and select “resume printing”.

If the printer says “offline”, follow these steps.
  1. Clear the printer queue
  2. Shut down the computer
  3. Unplug the USB cable from your computer and your printer
  4. Unplug the power cable from the printer and wait 15 seconds
  5. Plug the USB cable back into the printer and the computer.
  6. Plug the printer’s power cable back in.
  7. Turn your computer back on.

Your printer status should be back to ready now and you are able to print.

Printer Model : hp LaserJet 3020 OS : Windows XP(32 bit) Problem : When I did my last firmware update I interrupted by pressing the cancel button on my printer control panel as it showed "Printing...


Never ever touch the printer while upgrading the firmware.
You now need to replace the formatter
  • DO NOT power cycle the printer or the PC during this process or the printer may become unstable and or unusable without further attention from HP . The firmware update can take up to 5 minutes to complete. Please be patient.
  • During the printer firmware update, the liquid crystal display (LCD) on the printer control panel will display "Printing Document" and will change to "Erasing". After a short while, the LCD display will change to "Programming". After a short while, the LCD will display "complete : )" and the "Ready" LED on the printer will be flashing. The printer will automatically power cycle to reboot and will make noises similar to power on.

Dear sir;I believe you can try " cold reset", that's means going to clear all data from the printer memory and sets all the defaults back to the factory settings.performing a "cold reset" resets the jetDireect configuraion. to avoid making changes to yourconfiguration, remove the jetDirect card before performing a cold reset. if possible, print a configuration page prior to performing a cold reset. this will document current settings for later reference.
to perform a cold reset;
1, turn off the printer.
2, while pressing "go", turn the printer on. COLD RESET appears briefly on the display, then INITIALIZING appears.after a few seconds, RESTORING FACTORY SETTING appears on the display, followed by OFFLINE.the cold reset is complete.
3, press "go" to return the printer online "ready " appearson the display.
Little bit complicated but is easy ,hope can take care your problem, GOOD LUCK! Let me know the resolve please!
