Question about Acer Computers & Internet
Every time I turn on my laptop a "2 MIN" icon displays in the background of the welcome/log in screen. Everything works but it is annoying and I do not know how to get rid of it. Can anyone help? I have only seen one other person with this issue but no one has replied to them. My laptop is refurbished if that makes a difference.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I fixed some notebooks with this kind of problem. The switches used in almost all notebooks are small pcb-mounted tactile switch. In time the contacts corrode or dirt go inside. The easy way is to remove the switch cover and cleaning the contact. If you can solder SMD you can replace with a new one...that is if you can open the notebook. Dismantling a notbook is a headache. The switch looks like one in the attached photo

Just do as I say - it will be ok and sort itself out - the screen will not go blank and the drivers are still installed in Windows and will just be reinstalled, thus associating themselves with the card again. No internet connection is needed and the drivers will be reinstalled automatically without the need for user input.
To gain access to that which is 'off screen' push the mouse against the edge of the screen and it should move the display into view

i have solve the problem for my hp nx7300. mine used to show everything that should be shown on the screen but had the screen placed in a Conner so small. i solved this by uninstalling the monitor and unknown device drivers. i have then installed the unknown device as a blue-tooth adapter to avoid this problem recurring. hope this sorts out some people's problem. the other half screen with half completely not shown has to do with the cable connecting the monitor and the CPU. remember solving this for my friend by cleaning the connection port.
