Hi. I have a GIGABYTE GA-8I915PM Motherboard. Yesterday i stripped the computer out to remove the 2 years worth of hard compacted dust in all the fans and coolers. I removed all the part and then out it all back together but it did not start so i shorted the jumper pins and bingo the pc starts but one problm as soon as i plug the pc in it now start on its own without any action from me??

hey yo, i think your problem is quite similar to my problem. Because after I've installed it properly and after 5 hours working the screen suddenly become blank and not detect the connection. I think the mobo already broke down.. T_T
It might be worth testing it with another power supply before you throw it. With modern motherboards requiring multiple voltages (and multiple power connections!) it is quite common for a faulty PSU to prevent start-up.
If the wires from the reset switch is white/blue the blue wire is positive, Hdd red/white red is positive power Green/white Green is positive etc. The wires on the speaker connector will be red/black/black/white - red is positive. The colored wire is always positive. On all GA mb's the positive connection is always towards the back of the MB and are marked with a + on the base of the pin as you can see on the photo. Hope this help.
