You could be pressing the restart button instead of the power button.

You need to check the connecters to the motherboard the ones that come from the power button to the motherboard. Hope this helps!

The hard drive would not show up until you initialize it in the control panel. With everything off the motherboard you should get some post beep. Put the ram back and try again, the next thing to install is the video to see if there is any indication of function. Keep adding things back. If there is no post beep with just the motherboard then you need to test the PSU and if it is OK then CPU or motherboard is bad.

Try removing the CD-ROM drive from Device Manager and restarting the computer so that it will find the driver again and re-install it automatically.

Otherwise I'd explore getting a new drive. They are very cheap these days.

I once had something similar happen to me. Triple check to see that all connections are secure to the motherboard - a loose 20 pin ATX cable was the culprit in my case.
Hope that helps. Good luck!

My pc automatically get start on plug on .and then it suggest me to press F1 to Continue. when I do this it takes incorrect date and time how to restrict it.I want to start it with start button on cabinet

There can be many reasons...
  • Your BIOS setting is not correct.
  • CMOS battery is down(Most probably).
  • both
You can open the BIOS setting page by pressing keys like DEL, F10, etc. depending on your system's manufacturer at computer startup(post screen). There are lots of wakeup options check them properly.
One of the option is "Restore last state of power Button on failure" which can turn on your computer without touching the power button. you should check these options.

And it suggest you to press F1 because your system's date/time is not configured properly. You can also set Time/date in BIOS also.
If your BIOS Battery(CMOS) is not weak or dead then after setting these values your computer should start properly.
And if your BIOS battery is dead then all the settings will be lost(date/time etc) after a restart and you will face same problem again...

Try changing the Power-button option and Date/Time in BIOS and see if problem persist....if yes then you have to change COMS battery that is on your Motherboard.

Problem restarting Desktop computer

The computer battery needs to be replaced. The computer is missing its BIOS settings, which are stored on the computer battery on the motherboard. It's about the size of a nickel, and pops out easily. Take it to your favorite computer store and get a new one - about $8.

You have a virus. Boot your computer into safe mode by repeatedly pressing the F8 key while rebooting until a menu comes up that allows you to choose safe mode. Attempt to run a virus scan from there. Good luck.

Verify you have Files and Folders installed in your networking componets.

Click on the Start button, and then select Settings > Control Panel.

Double-click on the Network icon. In the window that appears, make sure the Configuration tab is selected. If you do not see the Network icon, click on the view all Control Panel options link on the left side of the window.

In The following network components are installed: section, if you do not see File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks listed, then:
Click Add.
Select Service and then click Add.
Select File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks.
Click OK.

In the same window, click on the File and Print Sharing button.

In the dialog box that appears, check the box next to "I want to be able to give others access to my files". Uncheck the box for "I want to be able to allow other to print to my printers".
Click OK, then OK again; you will be asked to restart your computer. Click Yes to restart. The computer will automatically restart.

File sharing is now available on the computer.

Hope this helps!
