Question about Sony KV-36XBR400 36" TV
According to Comet engineer, 5 red blinks means "unstable" but he has not repaired it and left me saying he's order part, that was 6 months ago, now it has run out of warranty and still blinking 5 times
5 blinks is an IK balance problem. it means your picture tube is not drawing the correct current on 1 of the 3 cathodes (IK). there is a good chance the tube is bad. if you reported it while under warranty you should call the warranty company and pursue it.
