I need to find a breadpan for the Breville breadmaker model BR1 as the spigot and bearing have come out of the bottom of the one which I have. It rather looks as though the seal which sits above the circlip which holds in the bearing has disentegrated. I assume that a new breadpan will have this complete.
Seems like we all have the same fault with this breadmaker - and we all cant find the solution easily - looks like breville really dont have much of a customer care section do they - i suppose they think you should just go out and buy a new one -i am still hunting for a new pan and paddle - looks like they're as scarce as rocking horse **** !!

Hi, There is a sealed bearing in the base of the bread pan. When this sealed bearing fails the paddle gets stuck and will not turn. Take the pan out of the machine and see if you can turn the paddle by hand. If it doesn't turn freely, then it's probably the sealed bearing that is is failing. If it turns freely, then this is good news. Keep the pan out of the machine and go to a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window to see if the motor shaft is turning. If it is not turning, then a belt fell off , needs to be tightened, or has broken. Motor, belts and pulleys are in the base of the machine. Remember to unplug machine before working inside the machine. Finally, make sure the pan is seated in the machine correctly. Good luck Hankl
