High altitude operation of a ryi2200 generator (5000 ft)

You require a high altitude carb (or carb jet) to operate correctly at this altitude. The jets are smaller to compensate for the thin air.

You need to get in touch with Ryobi to see if they sell them.

Do not adjust anything else on the generator!!!!

At high altitude polaris runs rough and lopes

well not knowing the model or year of mfg , ill assume its one with fuel injection , the mAP Sensor is the device that controls this function , they do sometimes get clogged up and require a good cleanout with some Map sensor spray (don't use brakeclean!!!) unless you want to buy a new one (sensor that is not atv) but even that's only gonna get you too about ten thousand feet , any higher than that your gonna need custom software to get it to run ok

Johnson 40hp- won't idle or troll at high elevations

Depending on the year model you may be able to adjust the mixture leaner for higher altitude. That adjustment was traditionally out of the very top of the carb pointing straight at you. Screw it in(gently- it's not a wood screw). Then out 1/2 turn at altitude.

I have just assembled the Tasco 70x 800 refractor, but there does not seem to be any way of adjusting the altitude. There is no knob to loosen the mount, only a nut which is hidden inside the mount which...

There appears to be a KNOB underneath that you loosen or tighten -- and also one on the altitude. Adjust these knobs so that you can move the scope but with some friction---here is the manual

The water is too cold in our newton water cooler. Is there an adjustment to make it warmer?

Yes there is an adjustment. Your water cooler should have a temperature control The enclosed adjustable thermostat is factory presetand should require no adjustment other than for altitude requirements. The temperature control should also be easily accessible.

Without specific model information difficult to identify where the temperature control may be located on your unit.

You might vist their website to identify your model. A search by model number may find more useful information on accessing and adjusting the temperature control.

Trust this is helpful.

The MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure) in extreme situations like you are listing requires a restart to adjust for the altitude.

This is not out of the normal, if it continued to run poorly after the restart then you would have an issue in which a different MAP maybe called for. I have personally seen cars that take as long as 3 days to adjust properly. (IE in my example: 907ft to 7854ft over night, took more than 2 days to correct)

T touch Meteo out by 20 Milibars

Certain functions need to be calibrated. The altimeter and the Meteo are tied together. When a customer gets the watch, they should calibrate to either the Meteo or Altimeter. The easiest way to find out the altitude of the nearest airport (you can usually get this on line) and then go to the airport and adjust the
watch. This will also calibrate the Meteo.

To calibrate the Altimeter:
1. Activate Crystal
2. Press Altimeter
3. Press and hold top + button until the watch beeps and display flashes.
4. Use + and – buttons to adjust altitude
5. Press center of dial to lock in.

Incorrect altitude changes

Here is the link to the user manual for this watch if you need it; page 12 gives you all the contact details for lacrosse. I couldnt find the info online to be sure, but some of these watches do have a separate pressure sensor for altitude and barometric pressure, and sometimes the path to one could get blocked or it could become faulty. I would contact la crosse and find a dealer to get the watch serviced, you could probably do it yourself but you need to get replacement seals from them anyway (these are important). ask them to check if the sensor is clogged, it happens sometimes. Hope this helps :)
