DVD cd player not working

Hi I have a Acer aspire 9423 SWi running Windows vista, My Dvd cd (Phillips DVD-RAM SDVD 8821) player has now stopped working, not sure why, but it will start up but it will not play, I have the latest drivers for the player, and in the device manager it has an yellow exclamation mark. When I try and load the drivers etc., it is giving me a error code as 10, cannot load the drivers. The player was working two weeks before Christmas, and I have tried systems restore but to no avail. can any one help me.
