Question about Kenmore 47722 / 47724 / 47729 Electric Double Oven
The top self clean works, and everything else works on the oven when you hit the self clean button a second time to clean bottom oven it doesn't do anything. No option for time or to attempt to lock, almost as if it doesn't sense a bottom oven, but does cook in the bottom oven. Thanks for any help

I had the same problem today. After I cleaned my self cleaning oven the cycle went back to normal but the oven door would not open even though the screen was clear and didn't read locked. I held the stop button for 3 second, I don't remember what the message said on the screen but I held the stop button in again for 3 seconds and the screen said locked then I did it again and the screen said door and the oven opened. I don't know, maybe it was just sheer luck it's worth a try. I'm happy.

My oven will not stay on, when started to preheat it will come on for a few seconds and they it will make a beeping noise and the codes E0 F2 will appear. The codes stay on even if the oven is off.

There is a probelm with the control panel. You can fix it for about a penny. The panel has a printed ribbon cable that plugs into the relay board. The ribbon cable is actually two cables pressed together, which can be seperated by simply lifting them apart. The ribbon cable has a defect in that the plasic insulation is defective, causing the leads between the two ribbons to cross, or short circuit. Simply place a thin sheet of paper between them, and make sure you push the paper down all of the way to the plastic housing, fold over the edges around the cable, you are done.
