You must reset your PS3 in order to accept the new TV configuration.
If the video output settings on the PLAYSTATION3 do not match those of the cable or TV in use, there may be no picture. If the screen goes blank, turn off the system.
Then, with only the PLAYSTATION3 and the TV connected, touch the system's power button for more than 5 seconds to turn the system back on. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution.
Hope this helps please remember to rate my response, thanks!
Check the PC output reselution and also the additional screen properties. a clone screen setting will have an exact match or you can have display only for video an imaging or extened desktop then move the intended window over to the screen.
Tries used ur tv remote and go into the tv MENU and tries go down to do a resetting to the tv back to the factory setting to every funsctions,to every funsctions setting of the tv menu of setup setting menus like PICTURE,SETUP,OPTION.By resetting all these menus setting back to the factory settings,tv should have a great chances to get ritting of the permanently dispalyed on the left top corner.
on your remote there should be a "setup" or "menu" button, push it and look for screen setup. you have zoomed your tv or set the resolution to low. you might also be able to just unplug the tv from the wall power (not just turned off) to reset the tv to factory default.
Depending on your television, if it's a tube then your display settings should be at 480i and no higher. Sounds like you set it at 720 or 1080 and your TV can't handle the resolution. You need to go to the PS3 main screen (turn on without game in it) and select the "settings" ( might be called "system settings", 2nd or 3rd icon from the left), a sub menu will show up and look for the 'display settings' heading and change it back to 480i. That should do it. Reset the PS3 just to make sure the new settings take effect.
I had this same experience and after hours of attepts to fix it (including the suggestions on this site) I found that the company that installed and set up my system literally disabled the "set up" on the remote so that it could not be changed. To fix this (and/or confirm that this may be your problem) reference page 39, "all reset functions" to reset your remote back to factory settings. As soon as I did this and hit "set-up" -- the set up menu popped up and worked appropriately. Hope this works for you!
Try this (with the original remote):Reset TV Guide On Screen 1.Press the TV Guide button 2.Curser up and over to the SETUP menu 3.Select Change system settings (highlight only) 4.Enter the following numbers … 753159852 (setup mode) 5.Enter the following numbers … 653274147 (reset mode)
It will take some time to get the guide downloaded, but it works.
