Hi, any gas range or oven does not need to be vented to the outside. The reason is that this not a heating device and is meant to be used for short periods while preparing meals. People get into trouble when they try to heat the apartment by running the oven all night. If you happen to be cooking for an extended period, you may see extra condensation on the windows but opening the window a crack will help. Of course if you smell propane when your not using the stove, that would indicate a leak and should be taken care of.

I am almost totally confused. You started out saying you have a Charmglow Electric Fireplace. Then you said you want to change it from natural gas to propane.
Could you please be a little more specific in what you have? So I can help you. As Charmglow only makes Electric Fireplaces. No gas ones.
