Invalid engine code?

Try putting the old fuser back and see if it gets rid of the error, then if that's the case the new fuser is defective. If not, here's a link to the Lexmark website which gives you instructions on what to do when having that "Invalid Engine Code" error message. http://bit.ly/9D61W3. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more assistance.

Fuser error on my ibm infoprint color 1464

The error is Fuser cam position not found. Have you tried reseating the fuser? Does the fuser make any loud sounds? Based on the error message, it could either be the fuser, or the system board.

123 Service Fuser Error - Lexmark C762 Colour Printer

This error refers to a thermistor error with your machine (assuming that you meant 923 error and not 123 error). Chances are that you will have to replace your fuser. Part number is: 56P2851.

To replace open the right side door (the one with the blue handle) and the lower door below it. Your fuser is the one with the 2 blue clips. Pull clips down and remove fuser. Replace fuser and push clips into locked (upright) position and that is it.

Hope that helps.

130 service fuser error

This error generally points to a defective fuser assembly. If a new fuser has recently been installed, it could be the incorrect voltage for the printer. In addition, the line voltage into the printing environment could be sufficiently out of range or experiencing enough fluctuation to cause this error message to appear. Finally, the printer itself could be the incorrect voltage for its geographical location. Please go through the checklist below to determine the likely cause of the error and attempt a resolution for the issue.
  1. Power off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  2. Confirm the printer voltage by looking at the back of the machine where the power cord connects.
    • If the three-prong socket is white, the machine is 220V.
    • If the three-prong socket is black, the machine is 115V.

NOTE: Generally speaking, North America uses 115V to 120V while Europe uses 220V to 230V. There are always exceptions for different areas, however, so try to verify that your printer's voltage corresponds to its geographical location.
      • If practical, have building maintenance check for proper line voltage.
  3. Check the voltage listed on the printer's information label.
  4. Check the fuser voltage by opening the fuser door on the lower right side of the machine. Look for the voltage details on the side of the fuser above the bar code.
  5. If the voltage checks for steps 2, 3, and 4 are consistent, go on to step 6.

    NOTE:
If there is a difference between the voltage indicated on the printer and the voltage indicated on the fuser, or if the printer's voltage is incorrect for its geographic location, contact Lexmark Technical Support.
  6. Re-seat the fuser to ensure that it is correctly and securely installed in the printer.
  7. If the voltage indicators are as expected and the fuser is installed correctly, plug the printer into another outlet (if practical) and power the printer back on to see if the error clears.
  8. If the error remains, contact Lexmark Technical Support for additional assistance. Please obtain the serial number of your printer before contacting Lexmark.

NOTE: If possible, please call from near the printer as this will allow for the most accurate possible diagnosis.

Please rate it fixya if helpful.

Thank you

Lexmark 4049 laser printer. I know it is old. Keep getting 923 service fuser error message. Is it a major problem or should I just get a new printer

The fuser should run about $200 or so, plus the cost to install it. I wouldn't recomend getting a new printer unless you're otherwise generally unhappy with it; It would be worth it to replace the fuser.
