Driver to HP1050C ...

I need to build a plotter file to HP1050C through AutoCad 2007, (which is longer than 1999 mm - so I have to customize paper size.
In order to do so - the program has to recognize this plotter's driver.
please help me to find the wright driver to install into the programe.

(The plotter itself is NOT in my possession.)

Friend,

All drivers for the 1050-series printers can be found HERE:

Hope you sort it out.

If not, could another solution be to save the file as a .pdf and send it to your customer?

Print jobs print as portrait and not landscape

you need to change the print settings in the program where you are printing, when you go to print settings the option should be in the dialog box where you choose the printer and page amount.

Hi, Our HP1050c doesn't cut the paper after print à draw made with Autocad2011. Any idea ? Install and reinstall the drivers change nothing. We use XP Pro x64. Thanks for help.

It is probably the belt is going bad or the slider rods are dirty. Turn off the cutter and see if everything works ok, which I suspect it will. Check for small bits of rubber inside the plotter where the belt runs. If you see pieces, it is the belt that is fraying. Clean and lubricate the slider rods should also be done.

Please find below your Service and repair manual, use this to troubleshoot your issue.

Our 450C plotter is connected via E-Net Hub and has extened memory. The "Test Printer" works. However it will not complete an Auto Cad Drawing. The ready light continues to flash but the plotter stops. any...

This could be one of a number of things. The file being sent must be smaller than the total memory of the printer. Connect the computer directly to the plotter with a parallel printer cable and see if it prints. If you are using an OS newer than XP, try using the XP 32 bit driver. If you are printing from AutoCad 14 or older, upgrade AutoCad (newer uses Windows printer drivers). If you can print OK with the parallel cable, get new external JetDirect software from the HP website.

When i'm going to print an autocad 2009 document to the hp 500 printer with jis b0 format and biger the spooler of the printer crashes and doesnt print

If you are using Windows Vista OS, then you know that you do not have the complete drivers that should make all the features of the plotter work ok. It is recommended that you go for XP or 2000. That way, better results including fonts are achieved. Remember also that this model is old and may not really work very well with all the features in Autocad 2009 Version. You can try the plotter on a machine running on 2007 version. Good luck

How to change paper size on axerox phaser 8500

From a Windows Operating System:
  1. From the computer, open the document to be printed within an application program.
  2. Click on [File] on the toolbar, and then click [Print]. The Print window will be displayed.
  3. Click on the [Properties] button, or the [Printing Preferences] button. The Properties or Printing Preferences window will be displayed.
  4. Click on the [Paper / Quality] tab.

NOTE: Most applications will automatically provide the page size information to the driver. If not, steps 8 - 10 describe how to create a custom page size.

  5. Select the required paper size from the Document Size pull down menu, if available.
  6. If the required custom paper size is not available click on the [My Customer Sizes…] button.
  7. To create a new custom paper size setting click on the [New] button.
  8. In the Name field enter the name to be given to the custom paper size. For example 127 mm x 394 mm (5 in. x 10 in.)
  9. In the Width field enter the width of the custom paper size.

NOTE: The width should always be the short edge of the paper. For example, if the custom size is 127 mm by 394 mm (5 inches by 10 inches), the width must be set to 127 mm (5 inches) regardless of the orientation of the document or the feed method on the printer.

  10. In the Height field enter the height of the custom paper size.

NOTE: The height should always be the long edge of the paper. For example, if the custom size is 127 mm by 394 mm (5 inches by 10 inches), the height must be set to 394 mm (10 inches) regardless of the orientation of the document or the feed method on the printer.

  11. Click on [Save]
  12. Click on [Close].
  13. Select the required paper size from the Document Size pull down menu.
  14. Click on [OK] twice to print
From a Mac OSx:
  1. Click on [File] on the application toolbar, and then click on [Page Setup]. The Page Setup window will be displayed.
  2. From the Printer Description pull-down menu, select the correct PPD file for your printer.
  3. Select the custom paper size for your document from the Paper Size pull-down menu.
  4. If the required custom paper size is not available click on the [Manage Custom Sizes…]. The Custom Page Sizes window will be displayed
  5. To create a new custom paper size setting click on the [+] button.
  6. Double click on [Untitled] and enter the name to be given to the custom paper size.
  7. At the Page Size field enter the width and height of the custom paper size.
  8. Click on [OK] twice.
