Is this noise in the Tuner position only or in all inputs? Need more info to diagnose.

If the power is not "goinf off" when you push the power button, it is a problem with the microprocessor for the keyboard/sinal selector or its voltage regulator. Unplug unit fot a couple of hours to clear it and try the tuner with nothing else connected. If it is still acting the same, possible power supply issue. Regulator to this control IC can cause irratic behavior when not giving proper output. This is not a do-it-yourself repair and will require an ocillosope to trace signal as well as voltage. You can always restore all settings back to its original state. When the receiver is in STANDBY mode, press accordingly to restore all settings back to factory default : STADIUM -> NIGHT -> DSP OFF - > CLUB . I did some research on this model to find it has alot of different problems due to cold solder joints and a under sized heat sink for the amplifier. Go through the entire inderside of board and redo all the connection points. These seems to work for the cutting in and out, but does not last.

There is static coming out of my speakers on my stereo. I I checke to make sureall the wires are connected properly and the power is plugged in securely. There is static with the sound on all...

Don't worry, it's more possible that you have the static electricity and through your stereo this electricity goes to the ground. Try touching another metalic surfasce (refrigirator, oven etc), try to change your shoes (especialy if your stereo is on a carpet floor and you walk on it) Sometimes when we are very nervous the static electricity on our body is higher. So keep calm.

I have an RCA surround sound system for my Big screen. Lately we have horrible static in the main speaker, is the speaker bad? If I unhook it, the rest of the speakers are fine.

Could be bad, swap it with another channel. if the problem is still in the same speaker the speaker is bad. if it still crackels in the other speaker the problem is in the amp.

power supply problem.
you mean, stand by ok.not power up right.?
ok it can be happen something wrong with its power supply ,standby circuit, system control cct problem, or loose connection on the printed board and loose connection on the connector in the pcb can happen.
some times it can be the power on off switch. anyway open the cower and clean it with compressed air or clean it with small brush then try to turn on again and please comeback with result.

I have a RCA RT2250 and I have a green light on a circuit board

Check the solder connections on the seven voltage regulators found in the center of the receiver on the heat sink from front to back (not the amp board) they are on the main board. The green light on the DSP board (back right side) is an error light. You can reset the receiver by pushing power then stadium then night then dsp off then club after unplugging the receiver and plugging it back in.

Hope this helps,

Power but no sound

hook up the antenna at the back and try to tune-in to your favorite radio station.
read the description at the back of your rca rt2250, how to connect your antenna.
connect it properly and raise up the antenna, put it where the signal is good.

RCA RT2250 consistant shutting off in Satalite mode.

Mine will always just turn off every minute or so after a hard shut down(ex: power outtage). I have to turn it back on and then hold the set button for a few seconds, then it stays on, until i turn it off manually, since the remote won't turn it off.

RCA RT2250 Chck Speaker message

I have the same problem... I read that it can be a capacitor issue, they are on backwards. I just dropped mine off with the repair guy today... Does anyone know of a fix? Mine first had an electrical zap, then smoked, now CHCK SPEAKERS then off, and on standby...
