Yeah I had a couple of these receivers, and ALL those push-button switches get intermittent. Cleaning them is all you need do -- just pull off the buttons from the front, spray in some cleaner (one at a time), and then push the button in and out 100 times. You don't even need to open the cabinet for this particular repair!

You could have the same problem we had on our BR-320. We found that the front panel Local and Remote Speaker switches were intermittent. When jiggling the switch, one or both channels would drop out and come back. After cleaning it works great.

My relative in UK send me a luxor tv here in the philipines..THE SOUND IS OKEY BUT THE PICTURE IS BLUERD..SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME

power voltage drop of 10 volts where you are
The more significant difference is that 60Hz systems usually use 110V (120V) or thereabouts for the domestic power supply, while 50Hz systems tend to use 220V, 230V etc

if found to be the issue and no slide switch to change on the TV somewhere
you may need a converter to equal 60 hrz

sound ok

any luxor should work there

i am thinking local signal signal

cable or roof antenna in the place
if auto auto tune or manual tune wont give a picture

not sure if a converter is needed
i am thinking try
. if coax cable old
re do all connections or replace with new cable

could get a TV antenna guy to reset the roof direction signal

if no better ..have doubts but
different channel wave lengths or faulty signal receiver

does the user manual cover world wide distribution or support
information
no online luxor TV support contact number

just a wiki information link
a long phone number ???

the internet email address is looping support@luxordirect.com

Very week sound

Definitely need more info - such as type of amplifier or receiver, how many speakers you are running, whether the subwoofer is powered or not.
As a simple test procedure: Disconnect all speakers and plug in a pair of headphones. Get a strong audio signal? Good, move on. No signal or week signal, you have an amplifier issue before the audio even gets to the speakers.
Next: Disconnect all speakers, turn the volume down, and connect one speaker to the left output channel. Slowly increase the volume. If that works, do the same on the right channel. Everything OK? You're putting out enough gain on both channels. Sometimes one channel goes bad. You can still listen to your sound in mono moder, or drive two speakers from the single working output. Not stereo, but dual mono. Move on.
Connect left and right speakers but not the subwoofer. Repeat the test. Whatever is left is probably the problem. If the subwoofer is powered, check the power supply or incoming voltage. If the other speakers are driven off the subwoofer or powered from there, that's likely the problem.

Dear Sirs, I have a Pioneer AV Receiver model VSX-817 and is connected to Monitor Audio Speakers (Fronts: BR5, Center: BR-LCR, Rears: BR1), Sub: MS309 (Mordaunt Short). I have connected each front...

Did you remember to remove the shorting link on the MA BR5 speaker terminal ..When you biwire the speakers you should remember to loosen the speaker terminal nuts and remove the shorting link plate between the HF and the LF terminals or you will short the amplifiers two channels together through the link. And modern amplifiers will take a lot of abuse at low volumes but at high volumes the protection circuit will turn off the device.

Yamaha RX-V365 Receiver when I hook up my center channel it is not audible at all. The R and L speakers work fine when they were located in the FRONT A and FRONT B terminals, but when I moved everything to...

With what signal did you try? Maybe your signal source (DVD/TV or radio) didn't contain any sounds for the center channel.
Go to the Setup menu, Speaker setup / Manual setup and find there item called "Test tone". It will output a test tone to each speaker individually (you will see on LCD which speaker is being tested at each moment). If you will hear a sound from the center now, there is no issue and center is working fine, just your source didn't contain any sound for the center.

If it doesn't work, then either you have faulty cable, faulty speaker or faulty center output of the receiver.
- Try connecting the center speaker to different output of receiver (this will test if speaker is OK).
- Try connecting working LEFT speaker to left output with CENTER cable (this will test if cable is OK).
- Try connecting working LEFT speaker with working cable to the CENTER output (this will test the output of receiver if OK - but use the Test Tone from Setup).

How to install bose 901 eq to my pioneer vsx-1019ah-k

This works for all models of AV receivers when you want 901's as Front L&R speakers..

Get yourself a nice separate amp, draw the Front L&R pre-out signals from wherever you can find them. On many, there is a pre-amp out for every channel in case you want to run external amps for any channels. That is how my old Pioneer VSX-36TX is equipped. For others, you may have to borrow the signals from a typical Tape- or Adapter-Out RCA pair. Just remember, AV receivers disable digital inputs as soon as you switch in a Tape Monitor, so choose one you won't have to switch IN. The signal Out is always there regardless of the monitor state.

Patch the Active EQ directly off that point (Amp In from the receiver, Amp Out to the new amp). Run all the speaker level settings on the AV Receiver and rock on.

I would like to know how to connect my Bose 901 to my Yamaha RX-V765 AV Receiver.

Ahhh, the good ole Bose 901. (I like those)... And you want to connect them to the Yamaha RX-V765 AV receiver. That should be a piece of cake. I assume you only have two Bose 901 cabinets. If so, you simply need to connect one end of your speaker wires to the terminals found on the 901 cabinets, and the other end of the speaker wires need to go to the Front Left and Front Right speaker outputs of the RX-V765. The RX-V765 is a 7 channel surround receiver. Weather you run it as a 7 channel theatre or as a more classic 2 speaker configuration, you will want to run the 901 cabs from the Front L and Front R speaker outputs, unless for some reason you want to specifically use them for any of the surround channels in which case it will not harm anything if you use them for surrounds - it's just that if you're simply wanting to use them as your principal speakers, you want Front L and Front R.
So connect them as I explained, power the receiver up, put on your favorite CD and enjoy!

What Blu Ray to buy for ONKYO TX-NR801 for Dolby TrueHD, etc???

Hi, as the Onkyo receiver you have does not have HDMI switching, the only thing it will do for you with a Blu-Ray player is process the audio signals.  The video from the BR player will have to go directly to an HDMI input of your hi def TV.  In this case, either Sony or Panasonic BR player will be equal.  Assuming you keep the Onkyo unit you have, you would want to use the optical digital output from the BR player as the audio source into one of the optical, digital audio inputs on the Onkyo.  In an ideal world, your receiver would some that does do HDMI switching.  This way, all the audio and video signals from any audio or video source would be automatically switched and channeled through 1 simple HDMI cable into your hi def TV.  This will make you life simpler as ther would be no need to select an appropriate input on the TV, as well as one on the receiver.  That said, buying a new receiver in addition to a BR player is more costly.  Good luck.  Let us know how it goes.

Need repair for older Bogen receiver

Any stereo repair shop should be able to repair your amp, as Bogen uses standard parts. I might mention that you may also want to repair you own amp. I would suggest you get a can of WD-40 oil or a tuner cleaner and spray it on the switch you feel is bad. See if this corrects the problem.
Good Luck
