Question about Televison & Video
While plugged in, I tripped over the cord, bending the power cord itself, which I have already replace just to make sure, and now the only I can get it to turn on is by hold the cord in just the right position to keep power on. Sharper Image does not offer replacement parts for it and I cannot find any info on this... Cheers!
If cord is new and you have to hold the plug at a certain angle where it connects to the set (a socket?) something there is broken, maybe inside where the socket connects to a board etc---with power off and if you are able to open the set safely I would have a good long look.

Testimonial: "I think the solution is brillant! Everyone should do this!!"
With a plasma TV the more likely culprit would have been the high voltage generation. Replacing boards blindly in a newer set can be frustrating and expensive. I would let a reputable repair person look at it. At least he/she can tell you what the exact problem is.
