You could try removing the wash arms and cleaning out the jets, if that doesnt cure it , then your pump may either be jammed or goosed

The spray arms aren't spinning, any ideas?

The main water pump sounds to be defective, not supplying enough water pressure to turn the spraybars.

Used to run silently ( less than a year old). Now I hear water sloshing and splashing when filling and cleaning

increases in noise level from machines are an indication of a wear part that is doing just that Wearing down , some sound reductions can be gotten by removing and cleaning out spraybars with a calcium solvent to make the holes freely open again (run machine without dishes once after doing this )

Dishwasher does not spin

do you mean the top agitator bar does not spin ,
look for obstructions or resistance to bar spinning by your hand it needs to turn all the way around free with just a fingers touch , any more and it needs replacement
does your washer have a food filter , if so is it blocked off pump water pressure is used to push spraybar if it cant get water then it wont spin bar , this also dovetails to the next question can pump be worn out this happens to older washers and dishwash soap contains abrasive so its quite tough on pumps

Upper rinse arm fell off. How does it reattach?

usually it will clip to the basket that holds cups and the like, and engages with the water outlet when the basket is slid into position. Some spray arms have a locking ring that, when the spray bar is held in place, rotates clockwise (if viewed from underneath) and locks the spraybar in place.

Cleaning out spraybar

The spray bar has a ring at its base - its between the spray bar and the floor of the dishwasher. Its notched so its very easy to grip... turn it counter-clockwise. It is probably on there pretty tight but it will come loose. I just turn the spraybar upside down and run water through the hole in the base... each of the holes on the spray bar should be checked to see if there is any debris poking out- use tweezers or something small enough to fish the debris out of the little holes. If you really wanna clean it thoroughly.... see the screw at the base underneath? unscrew it but make sure you remember the sequence of the parts so you can put it back together!

I also suggest you remove the mesh filter at the very back of the dishwasher floor and clean that. Take a flathead screwdriver (or table knife) and lift up the screen at the left side - you'll see a spot where its notched. Once you get that lifted a bit, you'll notice the right side is still attached... slightly turn the screen counter-clockwise (or toward you) until it pops out. If you've never cleaned that before - be prepared for the YUCK you're gonna find!!! eeewww!

Have fun and good luck!

Dishwasher makes a clunk noise

Hi. My guess is that it's the upper arm hitting something then! If it started suddenly I'd check that the upper bar attachment hasn't been dislodged from its proper location on the upper basket, and that the spraybar retaining nut hasn't come loose.

It happens on my machine all the time as the upper arm assembly has worn loose on the upper basket, AND the spraybar is worn where it attached to the static part so the whole thing wobbles as it goes round. An additional washer under the spraybar retaining nut might tighten it up a bit.

Hope this helps you a bit. If it does, a "Fixya" rating would be much appreciated. If it doesn't help you, I'd be grateful if you didn't bother with a rating at all. Cheers, D
