No, there is no modem in this model to allow sending Faxes.

However, if your PC has a modem and you connect this to your telephone line.
Scan the required page to your computer then open it in Paint or other software you may have an option to fax it using:-

File --> Print

Where it details the printer name, click the arrow (drop down) and select "Fax"

You will now be asked for the "Fax" phone number and details

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Cant find hp psc 1350 on list of hp printers

HP "series" numbering can be somewhat confusing, but Windows 7 does have the correct driver for your printer.
For the HP PSC 1350, you will need to use the 1300 series driver.

The 1310 series driver is for models numbered 131x (e.g., 1315, 1318).

Scanner freezes or looses connection with computer

This is a hardware issue with the printer honestly.
The connectivity between your printer is lost which means that your printer is really old and the signal strength is not getting caught by your printer as per the port of the printer.
Call in to hp at 1800-474-6836 and go in for an upgrade printer that you will get with a 50% discount and also they call it refurbished but thats **** no one else has used it,it has just gone back to the factory for re-testing since a company realises they bought too many printers in bulk and need to send one back.
Also go in for an extended service plan which will cover your warranty for another three years.
In the upgrade try getting the photosmart c8180 or if you also want the fax go for the photosmart c7280.

NEED FREE FAX PROGRAM FOR VISTA HOME PREMIUM...

eFax Free could prove useful to you if you do not need to send or receive 'War and Peace' on a daily basis! Note they also have two other - premium - services - available. :-(

Are you aware that limited printer functionality can be achieved with Vista? If this is acceptable to you, let me know and I can guide you through the process.

Scan Editable Documents to Microsoft Word 2007

Hi - off the top of my head, without going in to check the settings at the moment, I would say to go to your PRINTERS & FAXES folder (Start/control panel/Printers & Faxes), and make sure that the printer you want things to go to is set as your DEFAULT printer.

We have the Home & Student edition as well, and it has different defaults - it took me a couple of tries to print to realize that it was trying to send things to a printer/program that really didn't even exist! When we installed MS Office HSE07, it did a lot of tweaking to our system without permission or our knowledge! Shame on MS! It added a printer that we didn't even have, and changed the default to that new odd printer!

Also, for a scanned file, you can set your computer to automatically recognize scanned files as a certain type. Did you want to do that? I hesitate to say set it to have all scanned items sent directly to the printer, since you might scan things you do not need to print!

I don't have my 1350 hooked up at the moment, or I'd jump in and find the exact settings for you (we also run XP). But, it really sounds like the installation of the MS Office has tweaked your printer default settings.

Check that first, and see if that will solve the problem...
Good luck!
