Open radio and adjust VR 4. Might need external power/modulation meter to do so. Or watch swing on radio meter.

    1. Remove C128 (.47uF).
    2. Remove TR16.
    3. Replace R132 (1k) with a 470 Ohm.
    4. Replace R50 (3.9 Ohm) with a 1 Ohm.
    5. Re-tune coils L13,L12,L11 for maximum forward power output.
    6. Jumper C61 with a 67pF capacitor.
    7. Replace TR10 (2SC2029) with a 2SC1969 then tune L16,L17 and spread L14 For even power across band.
    8. Remove D13 and replace with a jumper. (This supplies more power to final)

    MODULATION: VR6 or cut D16
    AM POWER: L13,L12,L11
    RX COILS: L1 thru L8, VR1
Step 5 for basic output tune. And the adjust vr6. Anything more the final and driver should be replaced. I also found that adjusting the power supply voltage around 14.2Volts also squeezz out all you have there already. Any higher and it puts a strain on the regulator on the power supply.

Schematic for pc78xL won,t turn on

there gould be a number of reasons for it not turning on but the one I am thinking of is the reverse polarity diode. If it is burnt your radio will not turn on look in the area of your where your power wires come in .You should see a single black zenner diode.Replace it and it should turn on .

Want to increase memory above 1 gig. compaq nx9010

You may have incompatible memory module. Just put in one memory module in at a time to see if it boots up, this will determine which module was not compatible.

Cb radio

Hi, A couple of switches and knobs you can check (if present in your rig): 1. auto noise/noise blanker switch - try off position; 2. dynamic squelch control - lower down setting; 3. RF gain - should be at max (clockwise); and 4. Delta Tune - normally should be centered. Hope this works out for you and give you an idea where to start. Good luck and pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.
