Question about RCA Televison & Video
Model d52w25 was watching then it powerd off came on instantly by itself then shut off.turned on the next morning it worked for a few mins then powered off.
Not knowing your skill level I will try to explain the most common issue this set has that may be your problem.
The set is prone to bad solder connections under and near what is called a High Voltage transformer or Flyback transformer, both are the same part but either name is used.
The transformer has a number of pins from it that solder in a near circle thru the sweep board, which is usually dead center in the set.
I will attach a photo of a typical Flyback for you, easy to see as it has a large sparkplug type (usually red) wire coming out the top.
Whatever you do if the set is working don't get near that wire---well over 20 thousand volts there and just like spark plug wires a lot of RF that can shock you.
The fact that it worked the next morning really suggests that you have broken or bad solder connections under very near it bad.
You may if look see the pins and look for any that are cracked where soldered (we call it ringed if the crack is to be seen which it usually is).
If you find this you need to solder all the pins on the bottom.
The reason this type of problem happens is the boards are no longer hand soldered but soldered in a dip type or wave solder that solders everything in one step and for several years we have been mandated to use lead free sold which is good for the environment but does not stick or hold as well as the solder from years ago with lead in it.
The board will have to come out and is secured with some screws and tabs around the edges, any plugs (you will have to remove some) mark or tag and make a diagram so you get them all back.
If you are able to do this or know someone who can you may be able to fix the set for next to nothing, just some time and solder.
If you have questions ask me before you attempt this,,,I have gone to this length as I think this may solve your problem and also I never know the skill level of the person who asks the question---in fact a lot of my solutions or answers and not usually this long.

SOURCE: Powers off by itself.
Has anyone gotten a resolution for this the only answer I saw was the SSB Board. Is there a cheap place to get parts. Philips model 50P8341 goes off by itself also wont come back on if you unplug it for a while it will come back on.

If the TV goes in standby, then it is in protection mode.
Ensure also that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending
bad signal, check if you get same problem on DVD with no receiver box
Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.
The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible causes.
1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.
2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , starting the flashing light.
If you are in situation one, then the TV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.
If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.
If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual
If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

On LCD Pay particular attention at inverter and power board, power board can be inspected looking for bulged or leaking capacitors, then tested with a multimeter. The inverter is more difficult to test , there is need to read voltages, should be done by a tech. Also the LCD controller board can cause same problem
On Plasma, test Sustain (Ysus/Zsus) / Buffer boards , cables to plasma, digital board and power board.
On Rear Projection : check lamp, lamp ballast, power board, and convergence.
On CRT TVs, check ballast , flyback transformer, CRT, Tuner, Convergence.

You have done all you can do. If you had a power outage, when the power came back on a it surged and probably caused a Power Supply problem or something in the micro controller to fail. Either way it 's not good. I would call Toshiba and let them guide you to a Service Facility that can check it out. Depending on your Homeowners Insurance, repairs could be coverd or unit be replaced depending on cost to repair.
Sorry I am not able to help further,
