My TEAC Model CR-H130 combo 3 CD Changer and AM/FM Receiver/Player will not play CDs. When the Play Button is pressed, the CD will move from the rest postion to the play position within the unit; but after a few mechancial clicking noises the CD will not play and just returns to the rest position. This system has NOT been overly used. What are the possible problems?

try cleaning the lens first use a lint free swab and GENTLY clean the lens. don't use any liquid on this. if that doesn't work then load a disc and gently spin the disc when it lifts into load posistion. if begins to spin on it's own then replace the spindel motor. if it still does not spin, replace the optical pickup, the EF sensors inside the pickup no longer have the ability to read (see) the disc.

Try resetting the CD (Cambridge soundworks) by unplugging, then repluging. Then hold down the eject button while you turn on the power.

the cds you put in there are not compatible to the player.if it had been playing the same cds then it is time to take your set to a tech for repair it can be your memory chip or your lens.good luck.

I think you need to press and hold the Play button (marked PLAY/PAUSE) to switch between CD playback and the USB port (you can store mp3 files on a USB stick and play them directly) on the front of the device.

Try inserting a disc, switching the unit to CD mode, press and hold Play until the display changes and the CD spins up...

Might just work?!

it sounds like it is the motor that spins the disk most likely not worth replacing unless the unit has high sentimental value to you
