Re: blackberry push email software
I've been looking into this for the past few minutes.
Even though the BlackBerry Connect software for Windows Mobile, technically, can be installed on any Windows Mobile device, things arenot so simple. RIM has gone into an agreement with device manufacturersand operators to provide the software on WM phones. If Samsung doesn't have that agreement with RIM, they do not have to helpyou set up your BlackBerry account on your i780.
What's more, the software itself may be designed only for certainmodels, and downloading the files from their site may notwork for your i780 at all even if you are able to install it.
So unless you find a workaround, you may have to stick to yourold BlackBerry messaging device. If you feel strongly about it, youshould send Samsung an email to ask if it will be support BlackBerryConnect anytime soon.
If you'd like to give it a whirl, head over to http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/ and start downloading their software.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Internet: needs network/data access that bb browser can use, through cell provider.
email: needs bb enterprise server, if your workplace/company provides bb server. Else your cellular provider would need to provide bb email server.
My storm is thru Vodafone Australia, I have web and email. You would need to be with a cellular provider who has a deal with blackberry to provide internet and email - have you looked up US Cellular's bb support yet? http://www.uscc.com/uscellular/SilverStream/Pages/x_page.html?p=bb_cust_serv
Check if Internet/email are part of the phone service agreement you have, or you might need to pay extra to have them.
First, it is recommended to download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5 Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device. Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues. If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.
What you need to try to do is reinstall the blackberry OS (operating system) on your device.
Assuming you have AT&T
First install Blackberry desktop manager it should be in the CD that came with the phone.
If you can't find it download it
Then download the OS software for your phone https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=577BCC914F9E55D5E4E4F82F9F00E7D4
and Install it.
Connect your phone to your computer and start Desktop manager
Click on application loader, on update software click start, click ok on USB pin selection.
when you get to the device backup and restore options, click settings
and make sure backup options box is unchecked and device data boxes are
both checked, click ok, click next, skip the email signup stuffs, and
After the software is installed the phone should boot back up.
Blackberry storms are not meant to have the battery pulled out of them when they are fully on this can cause a corruption in the operating system and you wont be able to use your phone properly. I suggest you do one of two things; bring it in for servicing at your cellphone provider or hook it up to your computer to see if that makes it stop restarting and then reinstall the operating system by using desktop manager and downloading the aproperiate operating system from the RIM website.
Hi, I think that BB email solution is not compatible with your device as BB email is designed for RIM devices. There was support for Nokias earlier devices (E71,E51 etc) but is no longer available. i780 is an WM device so email client is very good, all what you need is a data plan and set up email with built in email client, which support almost all email providers (yahoo,gmail,hotmail,topmail...)
