My AKG D3900 volume is way too low

I've just bought an AKG D3900 at eBay and to hear a minimum from it I have to crank up all the volume and EQ fader on the mixer! Could it be due the standard XRL cable, or this mic is just that low? It's almost inaudible and it has been frustating me a great deal! Could anybody please, give me some advice on it?

AKG 120 on Mac, I don't get feedback on headphones or internal spekears . Recorded voice , I can see is there but can't hear anything....

Sounds like you have a computer sound issue. If the waveform is shown, and the amplitude is sufficient then it should playback audio. Not familiar with Mac but check mute settings, sound card volume, input/output config., audio routing, etc.

Right speaker not working akg k270

As monitors, I have used either the on-board speakers or headphones worn over the headworn microphone. In both cases, my own voice (as processed through 'Mike Effects' and VH) can't be heard over the music.

This is distinct from the recording on the USB stick where my own (processed) voice is in balance with the music.

Either I need an additional recording gadget to turn up the monitor volume of my processed voice while leaving the monitor volume of the music at a set level, or I have overlooked a setting somewhere. I am hoping for the latter (and I am still looking).

AKG 120 to Tascam US-800 connection issues

There is no reason to use such a configuration with the US-800. I advise using a standard XLR mic cable. It's likely phantom power doesn't work over the 1/4" jacks.

Hello! I'm having problems during a phone call with my speaker volume being too low unless speaker phone is on. All other sounds are loud & clear. I've tried resetting & turning the phone...

Did you happen to update to iOS 5? Because since the update. Mine has been the same way. The volume is very low. and sometimes even the speaker isn't too loud either unless I'm playing music.

If you did not update to iOS 5. Then your speaker might be blocked and easily cleaned with a cotton swab, or the speaker is just old and going out.

My tiny terror sounds the same volume when switchin between 7 or 15 watt settings

Well, the thing to shift between those is more of a marketing ploy than a useful function. The difference from 7 to 15 is ONLY 3 Db... which is about the minimum step one can hear in sound level... The amp might be able to deliver more power at the 15 setting than it can at the 7, but you have to crank it up to do it...

If the receiver doesn't have a function specifically named PHONO, yes. Very few AVR's have phono preamps. They're not expensive. I'd check eBay.
