Get the serial number from the unit, and contact Kenmore direct, they will be able to give you an unlock.

SOURCE: battery wasnt workng in my

I have a 2001 Honda CR-V as well. I removed all the stock sound system from it and replaced everything. I noticed a serial number on the radio once you slide it out, and that can be brought to a nearby Honda dealership. There they can scan the serial number and give you the corresponding radio code, for free. Also, perhaps check in the glove box or manual for any stickers or text concerning the code.

SOURCE: took the battery off to

the code is the anti theft code. did you get the car new? If so the code will be somehwere in the original documentation that came with the car. The other option is to go to a Honda dealer who should be able to recover the code from their computer records using the car chassis number and/or the radio serial number HIH

I need the code t o reset the radio on my 1998 honda accord. The battery was disconnected for a while and noew the radio will not work without the code.

You will need to go to your local Honda Dealer. The unlock code can be obtained thru the Parts Department. You will need the VIN and proof of ownership (i.e. Title or proof of insurance). You will also need the codes that the radio gives you when you press and hold buttons 1 & 6. That will usually give you the codes, if not, then you will need to get the radio serial number. This can, usually, be found in the glove box. If not, then the radio will need to be pulled.

Radio is locked after battery disconnected

Look around for a small label with a 5 digit number on it. Look inside the glove box and console. You will need the 5 digit code to unlock the radio. To get the code you will need the serial # of the radio. In order to get the serial # it is necessary that you remove the radio from the dash or at least remove enough of the dash so you can see the serial #. The serial # is located on top of the radio chassis. Numbers that start with M1C, M3G, M46, & YEFM are not the serial #. Look for another number on the chassis. Now with the serial # and the VIN number off the car go to the Honda Owners Link and register your Honda. You will be able to get the code there for free, but you must have the VIN and Serial #. https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?page=%2Fprod%5Fhome%2Easp

I disconected the battery from my 2002 honda accord and the radio doesn't work. I am the second owner and I don't know the code.

You have to call a dealer and get the phone # for Honda to unlock. Then need to pull the radi and give them the # that is on top or bottom of the radio and they will give you a master code to enter and unlock.

I have a 1999 Honda Accord and I took the battery off now my radio needs a security code to unlock it can you find me that code?? Please Thank You

If the code isn't noted somewhere in your manual check the back of the radio for the code. You might also be able to take it to a local dealer and have them look it up for you.

What is the code?

Most hondas have the code on the vehicle itself for resetting the code once the battery has been disconected or radio removed. Try pulling the glove box out and looking on the inside of the cavity. You should not need a code to remove the radio the alarm should not go off, it is the installation. The radio will not work with any other --vehicle without your specific code, good thieves know this and would rather steal the whole car. "Especially the Honda Accord. Have one in the garage and a 2005 Pilot.
