Question about Xerox DocuPrint N2125 Laser Printer

1 Answer

I have this printer that is networked in a small office with 4 other computers. The person who installed this printer has left the left with all its documentations and the user guide. Someone has printed something which turns out to be an empty sheet of paper with just some parallet lines. Anyways is there any way I can cancel the papers that are printing from the printer instead of the computers that are printing because I have canceled all documents from the computers but still the printer is printing.

Restart the Windows printing services, if they run Win2000 or newer. Go to Start > Run, type CMD, hit Enter, in the command dialog that opens, type NET STOP SPOOLER and hit Enter and it should tell you the service has stopped.
then type NET START SPOOLER and hit Enter and the service should start again.
Do this on all computers until printing stops. If printing doesn't stop, power off the printer and its server (unless it's connected to one of those pcs in which case you already restarted that service).

Make my Lexmark x5340 be wireless'

Is this a wireless printer? Is it being used for a large office or a small home type office? If you are using it for a home office and have multiple pcs, then you can setup a homegroup. A homegroup is like building your own personal small network. You will be able to share and print documents between your computers. Once you setup the homegroup, on one computer, then you will have to add the other computers to the group using the access code that the first computer will provide. Be sure to enable printer and file sharing when setting-up the homegroup. Once setup, you will be able to print your documents from any connected printer on your network. It's not wireless but it might help to solve a print sharing problem. Good luck. How To Set Up Homegroup Sharing Plus Printer Sharing

Won't print wireless.

Ensure the wireless printer software is installed on all computers in the network for issuing the print command from any computer within the home or office premises. Bluetooth printer is a suitable option for small offices and Wi-Fi for a greater operational distance.

Just reinstall the Printer on the Main PC install/Setup all software again, set for shared, Then, go to the clients PC's & set up that printer for NETWORKED Printer, Browse for it... should get you back. Installing a network printer allows multiple users and computer to share a single printer, rather than having numerous personal printers throughout the home or office. When installing a network printer, make sure it is located in a centralized place so that all users can access it conveniently, then install the software on each machine. You may find that newer versions of Windows may already have the necessary drivers installed. Finding the Printer on the NetworkTo install the printer using an IP address, go to Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes and then click the Add Printer icon. Next, clickCreate a new port, then select Standard TCP/IP Port from the drop-down menu. You will then be asked to enter an IP address. Enter the IP address of the print server and click Next. You will be asked to select the printer manufacturer and the model from the list. If you do not see your printer listed, insert the disk that came with the printer and click Have Disk.
If you do not know the IP address of the printer, you can sometime select Browse for printer in the beginning of the process. If the networked printer is attached to another computer is being shared, you will need to enter the name of the computer followed by the share name of the printer. For example: \\computername\printername.
Spending extra on a network printer can save you money in the long run. Network printers can be higher grade and print cartridges can last longer than personal ink jet printers.

make sure you have set up your computer's network in file and printer sharing is on..
if you have never done it before...

here is how you will do it..

click start

my network places

on the left side of the window you can see this "set up home or small office network"

click it and a dialog box will appear

click next

next again

just next again

asign a computer name that you want

check what is your work group name if there is any..if not just use the default then next again

turn on file and printer sharing then next

then wait until it is finished

sometimes if it is your first time to set up it

it needs to restart your computer..

and now you can print your document via lan printer..

NETWORK

Does your copier have a Network Interface Card ( NIC ) installed in the printer? If not, and if the copier has the Parallel port option installed, you can purchase an HP JetDirect EX network print server, and then connect it to the printer parallel port, and then into your ethernet network. This option is very effective, and a very "Green" solution vs using a computer as a print server for example, or the high cost of adding a Toshiba ethernet option if not already installed.

Printer FREEZES and prints blank pages

I DON'T THINK ITS THE PRINTER. THIS IS A SOFTWARE OR NETWORK ISSUE.

1 IT SOUNDS LIKE CORRUPTED FILES BEING SENT TO PRINTER, OFTEN PDFS. CLEARED ALL PRINT JOBS? ALSO AS400 PRINT QUEUE?
2 ALSO SOUNDS LIKE A VIRUS POSSIBLY "Adot.BAT". go online to housecall.com and do online virus scan.
3 OR, SOME OTHER CHANGE OR NEW DEVICE ON THE NETWORK MIGHT BE INTERFERING.

FIRST, TRY ISOLATING THE PRINTER FROM YOUR NETWORK. UNPLUG THE PRINTER FROM ALL DATA INPUTS AND RESTORE DEFAULTS. (LEFT OR RIGHT BUTTON TO SERVICE MENU, PUSH CHECK BUTTON, LEFT OR RIGHT TO RESTORE DEFAULTS, PUSH CHECK BUTTON).
IT SHOULD RESTART, THEN CALIBRATE. NEXT PRINT A CONFIGURATION PAGE FROM ITS MENUS, IF NOT TWO PAGES NET CARD IS DEAD.
IF OK SO FAR, TRY CONNECTING IT JUST TO A LAPTOP. USB ONLY THIS WAY, OR USE A NETWORK HUB, SEPARATE FROM YOUR NETWORK. INSTALL ANY OLD LASERJET DRIVER OR PRINTER ON THE LAPTOP JUST TO TEST IT.

IF ALL THIS WORKS, THE PRINTER IS FINE. BEFORE RECONNECTING THE PRINTER TO YOUR OFFICE COMPUTERS, FIX YOUR NETWORK & INTERNET OR VPN PROBLEMS.
THEN, DELETE ALL HP LASERJET PRINTERS & UNINSTALL ALL HP DRIVERS ON ALL NETWORKED COMPUTERS AND SERVER. (EXCEPT ZIPPED DOWNLOADED DRIVERS). START NEW HP PRINTER INSTALLATION COMPLETELY FROM ZERO. REINSTALL ONLY THE DRIVER YOU NEED. PCL5 IS RECOMMENDED.

Network Connection (LAN) for HP 650C

Plug it directly into the router and set the printer up on your Win2k/Xp as a network printer via the new printer wizard. The router will allow it to pull an IP number and you will find it on the network that way. It does not have USB because it was meant as an office printer and the option was network adaptor when purchased. If you look at the card in it, you can see it can be swapped out for another adaptor.
