Question about Trend Micro Internet Security 2008(Pc) Full Version (License Only) Volume License for PC (3 User/s) (TIS085673)

Trend micro internet security pro 2008 activation issue

I have been using Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2008 for a few months without any problems. When I logged on today, I noticed there was an exclamation mark over the icon and when I ran my mouse over it, it read: "trend micro internet security pro not yet activated" When I checked the main console, I notice that it says I have coverage until Dec. 2009 and that I am protected. I just ran a scan yesterday. Can anyone please tell me why I am seeing this? And am I not protected? Thanks so much!

    mine says that an does not say the expiration date but i know its in May...

    I have same problem. My subscription ends in December of 2009 but it keeps on saying i haven't activated it yet.

    my one is covered till 2010, but i notice today it says 'not yet activated'. Don't know what happened.

It is Trend Micros server. They have been down for maintenance. I had this problem and best success is to update late at night until they fix the issue.

    Before trying that hotfix or any other fix, try restarting your computer. This often works for me.

Here’s a tested resolution to the Trend Micro – No internet connectivity issue:

In this case it was Windows 7 with Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2010.

Right click on the Trend Micro tray icon and choose “Exit”.
Make sure you can get online.
Start Trend micro from the start menu or desktop icon.
Go to the firewall settings under “Home Network & Firewall Controls” *
Click “settings”
Click “advanced settings”
Go to the “Program control” tab
Locate and remove anything that shows “blocked”
Go to the “Network Protocol Control” tab
Locate and remove anything that shows “blocked”
Click OK.
Update the software by clicking “update now” on the main window (Overview) and make sure system shows “Protected” **
Restart the computer and try to go online again.

1.Open the Trend Micro Internet Security main console by doing any of the following:

2.On the left panel, click Virus & Spyware Controls. Under Protection Against Viruses & Spywaresection, click Settings

3.Under Check for the following threats section, put a checkmark in the checkboxes for Threats in incoming mail and Threats in outgoing mail to enable mail scanning. To disable it, remove the checkmarks.

4.Click OK to save your settings.
5.Close the Trend Micro Internet Security main console.

Every time I start my computer Trend will update and then request a restart.Having restarted a few time it keeps doing this and also does therefore not update or scan anymore. I have Trend micro internet...


Personally, I would uninstall Trend - I had the same problem. I'd get my money back as well. I didn't bother to find out why because it was a hassle going through all kinds of do this and do that processes - the heck with that. If programmers did their job correctly, it should work. But unfortunately they are more concerned about job security than doing a good job.

By default, the incoming and outgoing mail scan functions are enabled in Trend Micro Internet Security. To enable or disable mail scanning, do the following:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This error will appear if you have installed the 16.05 version of
Trend Micro Internet Security Pro, Trend Micro Internet Security and
Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2008 on a computer running
Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 or Window XP with Service Pack 3.


The Trend Micro Personal Firewall and the Unauthorized Changes
Prevention features main components do not work with the new service
packs from Microsoft.


A working version of Trend Micro Internet Security Pro, Trend Micro
Internet Security and Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2008 with
Windows Vista SP1 and Windows XP SP3 would be released sometime in
February 2008.


The release would be timed before Microsoft uploads the new service
packs in their automatic update servers for Windows.


To prevent this message from appearing, follow the steps indicated
below:


a.Check the program version of the Trend Micro program installed on
your computer.


b.If you are using version 16.05 and you want to continue using this
latest version of the Trend Micro program, you must uninstall the non-
working service pack from Microsoft.


c. If you do not want to remove the new Microsoft service packs, Trend
Micro suggests that you uninstall the Trend Micro program installed in
your computer and install PC-cillin Internet Security 2007 until the
release of the working version.

sounds like Pccillin working overtime try disabling it and switching off firewall to see if conection happens then
If it does its a tickbox setting in Pccillin stopping connection o
Or trry uninstgalling it, to see if it sollves problem.
