Question about Cameras

4 Answers

When i switch my digital camera(Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W90)on,my objective moves forward and back(4 times),it stated then on my screen:"Turn the power off than on again". I've done so over time, but nothing happened. So i can't do the main things, which are making photos and videos, but,at the same time, other options are available. I tried to change some options, but nothing happened. Please, help me...

This Is Gonna Sound Nuts But Ive Looked It Up And They Say It Works %99 Of The Time

1. turn off the camera and hold the camera on the edges

2. you will smack, or pack on Every side Except the side that has buttons. carefull to hold it steady and not too tight that you would squeeze the lens or LCD screen on the back

Please Trust this I Have Looked Everywhere And This Is The Method That Works.

This is a problem with the mechanical part of the camera that is connected to the lens and the only way to fix this is to take the lens apart and check for any thing that is misaligned that is causing the problem, I will advice you to take this camera to a service center near you if its still under warranty to avoid further damage on it..

Hi,your camera needs cleaning of lens and lens shutter; because some time dust particles gose inside and effect the alignment of lens and cause camera not working.

There is a problem with the lens / zoom its unable to extend properly so it tries again and again.

Tap the camera on the sides, try extending the lens with your finger, try that on your own risk.

I have to suggest you contact sony for repair service or www.advancecamera.com/repair for a free repair estimate.

The lens will most likely have to be taken apart and put back together parts may need to be replaced.

How to reset sony cyber shot dsc-p200

Velinadu:

On page 14 of the user manual for this camera (click here for manual), it shows that there is a small reset button hidden under the battery compartment door.
On page 74 of the user manual, it states:

"Press the RESET button using a pointed object, then turn on the power (reset).

All the settings including date and time are cleared."

This should reset your camera. If you have any additional question, please reply back and I'll be happy to assist.

you will need to pack this camera as if you were packing a pack of ciggs or a deck of cards. this will cause it to resync with the lens.
