If total dead power cord is possible but rare---someone in that case will need to safely get the back off and follow the cord inside to check the main fuse is goes almost directly to.

Magnavox 37MF23ID, would not turn on. Power button only blinks (green light). We have switched power cords and nothing happens. No picture, no sound.

if the power light comes on but the screen stays black, then your TV might be on the wrong input Channel. for example: you switch inputs when you play games or watch dvds vs. watching regular tv. Try to change the input

Why won't my mitsubishi tl-3040 tv power on?. All that I get is the power button to blink once when I plug the power cord in. Any answers?

When a power supply starts, It is no guaranty all voltages are available. And when they are available no guaranty the power switch works perfect.
So many (even very small) things can be wrong. Only one fault in the whole chain can spoil the fun. If you are not a tech, please contact a repair centre.
To check your remote, Point the remote to a digital camera. A camera on your phone is great too. Then press buttons you don't thrust on the remote and look if you see a light flicker on the remote. Press the button several times. If you don't see a thing replace batteries and try again.

Hi, I would say you have a problem in the cord its self. Even though it lights up, its not getting power to the controls. I would go to a hardware store and get a new cord and take care of the problem. When you replaced the socket in the wall and the fan came on, you just got lucky and the cord moved in the right position to start the fan. I am sure the cord is either faulty, or the connections where the cord wires in are not very good. Please remember how the cord is wired, even if you have to draw a picture. It will hook to a capacitor if it is a 220 unit. Just draw you a diagram.

Does the fan/light fitting have manual switches, pullcords?

If so, are you sure the manual switch for the light is in the 'on' position? The remote will not override the manual switch, so it must be on.

Apologies if you have already thought of this.

Let the battery power down, plugged back in and now computer will not come on at all, took battery out, nothing, not even the little battery flash light, even tho power cord in and blue light around cord

Need to check the power cord to see if it is running at 19.5 fisrt. The power cord may be your whole problemand it cheaper than the other problem I see.
If power cord is ok take battery to the battery store to check it's cells. it sounds like to battery is bad. but the power cord should still bring the unit up. If the battery is ok and the power cord checks out the charging unit is bad and is costly.

Hp photosmart c4580 won't print

Your problem indicates that your printer is not getting the power supply .

  • Check the power cord for any physical damage. If the power cord is damaged, replace the power cord.

  • If the power cord is not damaged, plug the power cord into a different electrical outlet without using a surge protector. The product power light should turn on.

  • If the product power light does not turn on, the power cord should be replaced.
