My Dear Brother;

1.Check the device's battery level for at least two bars of strength.
2.If the battery level is low, charge the battery.
3.If the issue is not resolved, remove the back cover.
4.Remove the battery.
5.Wait 10 seconds.
6.Press and hold the W key.
7.While pressing down the W key, re-insert the battery.
•The device restarts and after approximately 15 seconds, the 'Recovery' screen appears
•Release the power button but *continue holding the home button*, for another 30 seconds.
Step
Thanks

Go to options - security settings - security wipe -type the word blackberry and wipe the phone back to the factory settings. Your phone will now be as it was the day it came from the factory - fresh operating system. You will now notice that all your installed programs that you had is gone, but you can get them again from Blackberry App world, but at least your phone will stop rebooting after security wipe

How do reset a blackberry storm9500

I'm a little confused to what you're wanting to reset, the entire phone, a particular feature etc.

The only way that I know of to reset a BB to default is to perform a complete security wipe which will restore it to factory settings and erase ALL user data. This is good if you're returning the device, selling it etc. If this is what you're sure you're looking for you should be able to go to options/settings>security options>General Settings>push menu key and choose 'wipe handheld'.

If you're looking to restore default settings to specific feature, such as the automatic connections settings, then that would be completely different. If you're not wanting to completely wipe your device and you're looking at resetting one particular feature, then you can email with what it is you're wanting to perform this on and I can give you step-by-step instructions.

Hope this helps!

Youre kinda lucky because almoat all alternators go out without warning.

I am not able to receive calls the next day after charging my Blackberry 9530 storm, then i have to remove the battery and put it back again to receive calls. Any permanent solution for it?

Yes, there is a solution and I hope this also works for you. My 9550 would freeze and I couldn't answer a call, or it will just freeze on it's own at least once or twice a day. I also had to remove the battery then replace it and it will be fine again. After emailing the store where I bought the phone. One of the solutions was to wipe the memory as stated here. (To try to "wipe handheld":
1. In the device Options, click Security.
If you are using BlackBerry Device Software 4.1, click Security Options > General Security.
2. Click the trackwheel and select Wipe Handheld.
3. Click Continue.
4. Type blackberry and All the data on the BlackBerry device is erased.)
Then restart the phone and it should work.
Better yet. If you have the BlackBerry Desktop Software Application on your computer. If you don't go here https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=A2C0D61EB187AB3AFD247A852FAD3647 It's a 114mb file. Connect your BB with your data usb cable. Then back up the phone and do a software update (Which is what I did). The software will back up your data, then wipe your BB clean. Then it reinstalls the software. The process takes between 30 minutes to one hour to complete. You should be ok after the update. My BB 9550 works fine now since the update four days ago. No more issues.

I want to reset my blackberry 8830

Set a password on the device (Options, Security Options, General Settings, Password "enabled". It will prompt you to create a password). Lock the device or turn it off. Enter an incorrect password. Keep trying to enter an incorrect password. It will likely have you type in the word "blackberry" after about 5 incorrect attempts. After five more incorrect attempts it will likely have you type in the word "blackberry" again and warn you that it is about wipe the handheld. Do this and it will wipe the handheld.
