SOURCE: how to clean a affinity frigidaire front load

remove the toe kick panel just below the front door and its located right below the drum

SOURCE: Frigidaire Affinity Front load washer,

E10 code indicates there is no water supply. This can be confirmed by :

  1. Shut off the faucet to stop water supply to the washer.
  2. Disconnect and pulling the supply hose off the washer to confirm the E10Code
    • Opening the faucet and watch for running water

E10 also means that your cold water is coming in too slow, disconnect the cold water hose and check to see if the screen on your washing machine is clogged. If the screen is clean and the hose has good pressure then you will need to replace the water valve on your machine--- this is the piece that the hoses directly connect to.

SOURCE: From what I have read,

You will need to remove the lid by taking out the two screws that hold it down.

Then you will need to remove the screws that hold the control panel in place.then open the door and lift the bottom edge of the door boot to remove the retainer spring. then remove the front panel.

Then once the panel is removed you will be able to see the drain boot that goes to the drain pump.
loosen the clamp and pull the boot down so you can get at the coin should be able to push the trap up from the bottom of the boot it can be a little finiky but works. after every thing is clean you should be able to put it back together and work just fine

First, you put some bleach or tide washing machine cleaner inside. Then you make sure the washer is on and hold the spin speed button and the options button down at the same time for 10 seconds. You will see "Cln" appear on the display screen. Hit start and you are golden.

Why is my Affinity dryer not heating as well as it was put new dryer hose in back just taking touble time to dry a small load of clother & I double spin the load also

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire Affinity dryer is taking double the time to dry a small load of clothes. I also see that you have put a new dryer hose on the back of your appliance to try and correct this issue. I suggest making sure that you have also cleaned out the lint filter as well as where the lint filter sits. You can clean the lint filter by running it under the hottest water you can stand and using a cleaning brush, gently, to remove any build-up. You can clean where the lint filter sits with a small attachment on your vacuum. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

How do I remove coins in the drum?

We discovered coins stuck between drum and baffle of our Electrolux front-load washer soon after purchase in 2014. I went through the same exercise trying to remove the baffles but finally figured it out four years later. The coins - pennies and dimes - can get into the baffle and come to rest in the rear, inner-most cavity inside the baffle. If you're average height and weight (I'm 6'0" and 180 pounds) then put on a headlamp and arm yourself with a one-inch putty knife and a one-inch paint scraper. The two tools look the same but one has a thin flexible blade and the other a stiff blade. First find the baffle with the change in it. A mechanic's stethoscope helps but not necessary. Stick your head all the way into the drum with the headlamp on. Look down and oscillate the drum in rotation. If it's a penny you'll easily spot it provided it's in the line of sight. Dimes are tougher. If you don't see anything poke the putty knife under the side edge and push toward the rear. The rear gap (drum to baffle) is large and is probably where the coins gained entry in the first place. If you're lucky you'll see part of a dime emerge from the rear. Grab it and it will easily come out. The putty knife is thin enough to get through the gap but in some cases just passes over the coin. You'll need the scraper then. I could not insert the scraper alone but used the putty knife like a shoehorn to get the scraper under the edge, then pulled out the putty knife and continued with the scraper. If you cannot find any coins by looking or probing, you might need the stethoscope (under $5 at Harbor Freight). When rotating the drum you'll hear with the ***** ear a "ting tang" which seems to come from everywhere. Place the tip of the stethoscope against each baffle in turn, and the sound will be different for a baffle with coins versus one that is clear. With coins in that baffle you will hear more of a "tok-tok". Of course if there are coins under all of them they will sound the same. In our machine the count was two dimes and a penny in one baffle, a dime in the other, and nothing in the third.

Caution - you cannot do this without leaving small scratches in the drum. Use your own discretion.

dscf9572-id44bnqrumb03tjkirwclmu5-3-0.jpg Top: stethoscope Harbor Freight 66913. It may be overkill. Knowing the coins tend to be in the rear chamber narrows the search area considerably. I've only done this the one time, and had a stethoscope already.
Bottom l-r putty knife, scraper, headlamp

I hope this helps you.

Front load washer did not drain

First check the filter for coins or other junks.
Make sure the drain hose isn't blocked, restricted or kinked.

If this is not the problem, may I know as to what error message you get and the make & model of machine?

Thanks.. :)

Affinity ATF7000E Front Load Washer: where do i find what efo means on my affinity wash...

Frigidaire, Zanussi, AEG, & More....

EFO = Filter Blocked (low flow) and it is accessible from the bottom front of the machine.

1. there is a blockage in the filter or drain hose.takes too long to drain out.
2. over dosing of powder or liquid. again can cause an air lock in the pump which slows the drain pump down.

Check the filter and drain hose and test again. this fault will only come up at the end of a cycle.
You do not need to reset the machine to get rid of the fault code as this is automatically deleted.

Run an empty load with no detergent in an attempt to get rid of the code.
