Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player

Ipod frozen My ipod nano was connected to the computer and I ejected but then it still said connected. We tried to restart it but it didn't work. So now its frozen and it won't turn off or on.What should I do? Can we fix it?

You might have taken it out well it was loading something and it could of corrupted the harddrive i would phone apple.

You have not ejected the hardware in technically correct way so the software of ipod is not responding. You need to wait time the time its battery is gone and the ipod will work normally once your ipod is switched on again. You will not be able to switch off your ipod in this situation so please wait till the time battery is not gone completely.

Hello, if it's still frozen try holding the power button and the center of the scroll wheel, or the power button and the top of the scroll wheel until it restarts, then try re-connecting it again.

Ipod nano 8GB 3rd generation FROZEN!


Try resetting the ipod while its connected to the computer by holding both the menu and center button at the same time for 6-10 seconds until you see an apple appear on the screen. You may need to repeat the reset. If this fails your looking at a hardware issue most likely. Good Luck.

Try doing this: Toggle the hold switch and put it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple symbol should come up on the screen. Then it should work like normal. Hope this helps!

Reset the player first - should sut the player off so you can try again

These are for Nano, but they apply to all iPods:
Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore
Remember these five basic suggestions if you have a problem with your iPod nano. If

hold ok key and then hold menu key it will be restarted and the it will be connected to your PC

Ipod nano, hitting eject results in system restart


First, make sure you have installed the software from the iPod CD. in any case, try to reinstall it. Second, Try connecting to a different USB 2.0 port on your computer. Last, Your iPod nano might need to be reset (see page 43 on the user guide). By the way: If you?re using a Mac, you can also eject iPod nano by dragging the iPod nano icon on the desktop to the Trash. If you?re using a Windows PC, you can eject iPod nano by clicking the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system tray and selecting your iPod nano.
